Cowboy Racing at Festival Western de Saint Bruno de Guigues sanctioned by the Extreme Cowboy Association (EXCA) of the United States INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPETITION • The competition will be held at the site of the Festival Western de St. Bruno de Guigues, Friday, 5 August 2016. For information onhow to get there, search for St-Bruno-de-Guigues on Google Maps. • The classes identified below will be offered: Young Guns Class (7-11 years old. Max 5 participants). A rider in this division may ride more than two horses. The course consists of 8 obstacles level 1 and 2, and obstacle scores will be combined with horsemanship score and time points. Ribbons and gifts will be given to all participants. Registration fee: Free. Youth Class (12-17 years. Max 5 participants). A rider in this division can ride up to three horses. The course consists of 13 obstacles level 1 to 4, and obstacle scores will be combined with horsemanship score and time points. Ribbons and gifts will be given to all participants. Registration fee: Free. Novice Class (18+). The Novice Division is designed for beginner riders that are new to equestrian competition and/or the sport of Extreme Cowboy Racing. The purpose of the Novice Division is to provide competition that is fair to all beginner riders. Novice riders are allowed to ride “up” into higher divisions of competition. The course has 10 obstacles level 1 to 3 and obstacle scores will be combined with horsemanship score and time points. No final in this division. Ribbon, gifts and prize money to the top three. Registration fee: $50. Intermediate class. An Intermediate rider is an individual who is ready to move out of the Novice division but is not yet ready to compete in the Non Pro division. A rider in this division has had some competition experience in other equestrian sports. Intermediate riders are allowed to ride “up” into higher divisions of competition. The course has 13 obstacles levels 1 to 4, and obstacle scores will be combined with horsemanship score and time points. Novices can also enroll in this class. 7 top 5 go into final at 5:45 p.m. Prize money (50% of entry fee), ribbon, gifts and prize money given to the top 5. Registration fee: $50. Pro (Open Class). The course has 13 obstacles levels 1 to 6, and obstacle scores will be combined with horsemanship score and time points. Novices can also enroll in this class. 7 top 5 go into final at 5:45 p.m. Prize money (50% of entry fees), Rosette and gifts given to the top 5. Registration fee: $50. Novice and intermediate riders can also enroll in this class. The top 5 will go to final immediately after the final of the intermediate division. Prize money (50% of entry fees), ribbon, gifts and prize money to the top 5. Registration fee: $50. 1 • Registration opens 9 am June 27 and goes to 6 pm on July 29, 2016. Registration possible on the day of the event if space is available. A late fee of $ 10 for registrations received after July 29, 2016 will be applied. Only fully paid registrations will be added to the list. • In case of cancellation, the registration fee of $50 will not be refunded. • All riders must submit to the Secretary proof of liability insurance on the day of the competition. Disclaimers must also be signed on the day of the competition and in the case of members who EXCA accumulate points, the disclaimer of the EXCA. The competition secretary will have copies. • First to pay last to ride giving you the advantage of seeing other riders before you! The 5 top riders will return for the final, in reverse order of their ranking. • The order of go will be displayed one hour before the start of the competition and will not be changed without the consent of the Show Secretary. • The finals of Intermediate and Pro classes will be held at 5:45 with a large crowd of spectators who will come to see the professional rodeo following the day’s EXCA races. • All registration fees will be paid in prizes to the winners of the Novice class, intermediate and Pro (Open) only. Thus, the best riders in each of these classes will share 100% of the value of all registrations. An exclusive Ribbon from the Festival Western de Saint Bruno de Guigues will be given out. Other prizes may be added at the discretion of the organizing committee. • Free parking on site for trailers. • Members of the Extreme Cowboy Association (EXCA) can collect points for a possible qualification to the World Championships in Texas or other championships.
