Brief Description/Summary:
Teachers will use direct instructional practices to model the college readiness skills to ensure improvement on the Explore
Exam.
What Needs to be improved and what specific outcome needs to occur?
STUDY
Students will increase their scores on the English portion of the Explore Exam
Students will improve their overall scores by one point on the Explore Exam

2. Evaluate data to identify students who need re-teaching on that specific skill.

What is the general approach to achieving the outcome?
All ELA teachers will model and instruct the targeted college readiness skill.
Students will practice these skills 2-3 times each month.
End of month students will be assessed with a benchmark.
Teachers will evaluate data and re-teach if necessary.
(75% of class needs to demonstrate proficiency before moving to next skill)
