Let the Games Begin!

Week 1
Tie up those laces and roll up your sleeves - it's time to start the fun! Play traditional
6/5 - 6/6
outdoor games and have a chance to create your own. Learn about muscles,
exercise and good sportsmanship while we begin our summer playing hard!
Beyond Blocks
Week 2
When you are Under the Trees, building takes on a whole new meaning! Blocks are
6/12 – 6/16
just the beginning as we explore all the ways to design, construct, assemble, and
even take apart. Use a wide variety of unique materials and spend the week
designing, tinkering, inventing and creating.
S’Mores and More
Week 3
Tents and flashlights, sleeping bags and backpacks! Join us on a week-long camping
6/19 – 6/23
trip, right here at Virginia Chance School. We’ll make forts, play games, learn
campfire songs, prepare our own camping snacks and explore the variety of natural
spaces Under the Trees.
Dig In
Week 4
Our most popular camp theme! This week is all about dirt! Making mudpies,

planting, and squishing our toes – the things that make summer special! Wear your
old play clothes for this week of digging, sifting, pouring and creating with dirt.
Adventure Camp

Take our outdoor theme to the extreme! Learn to pitch a tent, build a campfire,
practice your orienteering skills and hike safely through the woods. Make a lunch

Week 4
on a campfire, blaze a trail. Take advantage of the natural beauty at Virginia Chance

School during this unique camp experience.
Week 5
Have fun outdoors and creating art! Enjoy Cool Whip painting and fizzling sidewalk

Good Vibrations
Week 6
Summer is the perfect time to get your groove on! Design and create an outdoor

music station. Make your own instruments and create a band. Choreograph a dance
or have a parade. Everyone’s a musician this week as we explore the science of
sound.
Color Me Fun!
Week 7
Explore the dazzling world of color! Investigate how color works through science
7/17 – 7/21
experiments, vivid works of art, and colorful games. Celebrate the end of camp with
our annual camp-wide Color Run! Everyone is invited!
