CHAPEL FUND PUSHES TOWARD THE GOAL LINE! By Palaver Pete, SASS Life/Regulator #4375 Fund raising for the Cowboy Memorial Chapel to be constructed at Founders Ranch in New Mexico approaches the FINISH LINE! The hardworking Chapel Committee through the generosity of members world-wide and the dedication of our Clubs and Vendors has raised over $54,000 and hopes to raise the final $21,000 in time to construct the Chapel for a GRAND OPENING at EOT 2013! Our Affiliated Clubs continue to sponsor local shoots dedicated to the chapel fund, and our members continue to pass the hat at church services as well as social events—the results have been most encouraging as indicated above. Our goal now is to secure the final $21,000 so that the Chapel can be completed for EOT 2013. However, to achieve this goal we need the continued help of our affiliated clubs. To assist in reaching our goal, and to provide deserving recognition to our clubs, donors, and vendors, a series of Sponsorship Levels have been established by the Wild Bunch. These Levels, and the recognition provided are as follows. Bronze Level Donor: $100: Name inclusion on Cowboy Legacy Plaque placed in the Chapel. Silver Level Donor $500: Name inclusion on Cowboy Legacy Plaque placed in the chapel. Gold Level Donor $1,000: Name inclusion on Cowboy Legacy Plaque with prime placement within the Chapel. Patron Level $2,500: Name inclusion on Cowboy Legacy Plaque with prime placement within the Chapel. Benefactor Level $5,000: Name inclusion on Cowboy Legacy Plaque with prime placement within the Chapel. Pew Donor $7,000: Limited availability. Engraved Plaque placed on pew. Pulpit Donor $10,000: Only one available. Engraved Plaque placed on Pulpit. Many of our affiliated clubs and our supporting vendors and merchants have already achieved one of the sponsorship levels described above. For this we thank you! Your continuing support and contributions will be added to whatever level you have already attained, and that level will be increased as your contribution is received and recorded. Maintenance and management of the Cowboy Memorial Chapel will be under the auspices of the SASS Western Heritage Museum, a non profit Federal government recognized 501 C (3) organization. Accordingly all Sponsorship Level donations described above are federal tax deductible. Funds received beyond those projected for construction will be deposited with the Museum and used for future maintenance costs of the Cowboy Memorial Chapel. A thought advanced by one of our contributing members is that if clubs were to contribute between $3 to 5.00 for each member, the amount required to commence construction would soon be achieved—something to think about! Ideas and suggestions for the Chapel project are always welcomed, so we highly encourage each club to solicit their membership for any and all input. Our experience has been that our greatest asset in the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting™ is the caring quality of our membership. Comments, ideas and suggestions along with contributions can be sent to: SASS Western Heritage Museum Attn: Cowboy Memorial Chapel 215 Cowboy Way Edgewood, NM 87015 We thank you for taking the time to consider our request. What we need now is $21,000, and the sooner the better, so that construction can be started. Praise the Lord and Pass the hat, just as our loved ones did right after December 7, 1941. Let’s get this Cowboy Memorial Chapel built! You’re a Daisy if Ya do!
