Labelling • This is the way a typical label should be laid out. EDE’S Position A 60 Black Bill Tiernan Labelling • The colour of the label indicates the delivery floor area • The first number takes the item to the correct position • The second box is for name or other information Crates • Crates should be separated from stack before packing • Do not pack Crates on your desk. • Stack loaded Crates in 3’s or 4’s. Crates • Do not load the crate so that it is too heavy to pick it up yourself. • Always place the label on the short end in in the right corner. • Do not place the label on the lid, in the crate or on the long side. Label Placement-Crates PACKING • Where possible who packs – unpacks • Edes will undertake Bulk Filing (Books etc) • A Label with destination number given to cupboard and /or shelf. • An Identical label placed on left hand end of crate • Files taken from shelf and loaded into crate from left to right.
