360 Leadership Survey
The 360 Leadership Survey is a tool that can be used to determine
the personal and relational leadership skills that affect success. I have
three survey results, two were filled out by my colleagues and one by me.
There are seven categories below. The red or first score is my score, the
blue or second score is the score from a fellow teacher and the green or
third score is from my principal.
I. Self Awareness
15 / 13 / 16 out of 16
II. Self Regulation
11 / 12 / 11 out of 12
III. Motivation
14 / 15 / 16 out of 16
IV. Empathy

V. Interpersonal Relationships 15 / 15 / 16 out of 16
VI. Communication Skills
16 / 23 / 24 out of 24
VII. Managing Conflict

360 Leadership Survey
There were some areas where there was a higher level of
discrepancy which could indicate an area of improvement.
In categories VI. and VII. the three scores were the most diverse of
the survey. Both of these categories deal with effective
communication which is a area in which I think I could improve
upon.

Gregorc Assessment
The Gregorc Assessment is designed to help reveal a special
set of mental qualities and mediation channels available to you for
handling the demands and opportunities of life. I have never used
this assessment before and upon completing it was quite intrigued
of the result. The Gregorc can be a very useful tool to use to help an
individual find the best path for them to learning but also for people
on a team. Understanding the dynamics of a team is one step closer
to having a cohesive group that will work together and make
decisions based on best practices for all students.

Leadership Summary
How will you articulate your area of focus for leadership growth
and development?
The 360 Leadership Survey and the Gregorc Assessment have helped me
look at my leadership skill and where I need to focus. The areas from the 360
Survey and Gregorc in which I need to improve upon the most also corresponds
with Standard V: Principals Demonstrate Managerial Leadership. This Standard
has two sub groups V b and V c which both have to do with the results from my
360 Survey. These two categories are Conflict Management and Systematic
Communication which were the two areas on my survey in which the surveys had
the greatest differentiation between those who took it and where I feel I should
focus my leadership growth.

Leadership Summary
How will you engage others in supporting your personal leadership
growth and development?
As a veteran teacher, I think that I can help support other younger
teachers in my social studies department. I was a mentor to one from last year and
am for another one this year. I can make sure that those teachers as well as others
outside of my department are kept in the loop pertaining to the communication of
the school. During our team meetings, I discuss protocols of how scheduling is
done for next year, assist teachers with their online evaluations, and work through
the data team process. I will also help our anyone on our team with conflict
management by talking with teachers through tough situations with students,
parents and administration.

Leadership Summary
Given you areas of strengths and weakness how will you position
yourself as a strong support of the principal and administrative
team?
The best way to support the administrative team at EHS is to provide support
of other staff in the AVID program. Currently our AVID program is in its 6th year at
our school but the implementation process is still taking place especially since we
have so many new teachers. There are numerous AVID strategies that I use in my
classroom that need to carry over to other classes for AVID to be successful. I need to
use my teacher leader skills to try to help promote AVID strategies throughout the
school to increase the level of rigor.
Additionally, I was recently asked by the principal to present to the staff on a
professional development late start Monday about “flipping the classroom”. I have
been video taping lesson notes and posting them on Youtube for my AP European
History class this semester and he would like me to give a presentation on how to do
that and ways in which it enables me to use class time for more writing, debates and 11
discussions.
