Activity: Magic Carpet
(LSEM GROUP)
Number of players/Age: 8-10 players, college age
Equipment: Tarp
Formation: all particiapants will be standing on the tarp
Object of activity: physical- gets students to move their entire body but also with
limited space, emotional- limited space and absence of personal space, cognitivegets students to think creativitly, social- everyone must communicate
Instructions: 1. The group will be asked to stand on the tarp
2. Once on the tarp, the group is told that they are on a magic carpet,
but the directions are on the bottom.
3. The group must then figure out how to flip the tarp without anyone
stepping off.

Activity: Zombie
(MIDDLE)
Number of players/Age: 8-12 players, 12+ years old
Equipment: Blindfolds, rope to make boundaries
Formation: students will be walking around within the boundaries
Object of activity: physical- students are using their whole body, emotional- they
must trust their senses to guide them, cognitive- challenges students to think about
stratigey, social- students must communicate with one another
Instructions: 1. Students are brought into the established boundaries
2. Students are then blindfolded.
3. One student is selected as the “Zombie”
4. The students then walk around with their hands up and palms out
(to avoid inappropriate touching)
5. Anytime the zombie touches someone they turn into a zombie, but
if a zombie were to touch another zombie they would both become
human.
6. The game is played until all people are either “Zombies” or
“Humans”.
