CMHC’s Future IM Strategy
 A successful IM strategy means that information is
being retained and disposed of based on business and
legislative requirements.
 To do disposition would mean:
 IM governance established
 OpenText and Docushare implemented and adopted
– benefits realised (other systems decommissioned)
 Near zero use of desktop or shared drives
 Storage needs flat or reducing
 The result is that we have a trusted repository of
information that is searchable and auditable.
 The business outcome – less time managing
information and more time analysing and using
information.
