Rockford Vintage Market 2017 Application
The Rockford Vintage Market is a vintage market put on in the location of the Rockford City Market on
the third Saturday of July. The market will focus on Vintage vendors with quality vintage, antique, and
repurposed items including home and garden goods, furniture, clothing, jewelry, art, and children’s
items. The market will also feature food, beverage, and entertainment for shoppers.
Market Dates and Hours of Operation
The market will be open 9:00am – 3:00pm on July 15th. Admission to the market for shoppers is Free.
Application Requirements
Vendors who wish to apply will need to send their application, check, and a website or social media site
where we can view booth set up and products. Applicants will be juried based on their applications and
website pictures. If the vendor does not have pictures on their website or does not have a website,
pictures can be sent to the market manager at [email protected].
Merchandise Requirements:
First preference will be given to vintage vendors with unique, interesting, and quality items. Vendors
who have “brick and mortar” storefronts are allowed to bring some “new” items from their shops, but
the vintage items must make up 50% of the vendor’s merchandise at the market. We will also accept
applications for handmade artisan vendors, but first preference will be given to vintage sellers and then
to handmade sellers as space permits. We are not a flea market.
Merchandise Prohibited
The Rockford Vintage Market does not allow the vending of items including crafts, tools, knives or
firearms (or other weapons), and gold or silver coins
Booth Space
Booth spaces will each be 10×12 and vendors are allowed to purchase more than one booth space if
needed. A tent is not required, but strongly encouraged. Tents will not be provided. Some vendors will
be placed under the Canopy structure, but this is not guaranteed. Booths should look professional and
attractive and be easy to maneuver through.
Rain or Shine
The Rockford Vintage Market is a “Rain or Shine” market and all stalls paid in advance are nonrefundable. In the case the market is forced to cancel, re-site, or postpone due to weather or other
unforeseen event the market shall not be liable to return or reimburse the vendor for any damage or
loss or booth fee.
Booth Fee
The 10×12 Booth space is $75 per day. Vendors may purchase additional booth spaces as needed. All
payments are non-refundable and must be sent in with the application. If a vendor is not approved,
booth fee will be returned.
Electric
Electric is available, but it’s limited and cannot be guaranteed. Vendors who need electric will need to
note this on the application with their equipment and amounts of amps needed. If using electric,
vendors are required to supply their own high gauge extension cords and for cords to be secured down
to not cause unsafe walkways for patrons.
Set Up
Set up will be from 6am-9am on the day of the event. All booths must be set up and ready to vend at
9:00am. All vehicles must be off of the market grounds by 8:45am. Vendors are expected to be
courteous of other vendors during set up.
Parking
Free parking is available near the market area. Vehicles will not be allowed on the grounds from 8:45am
until 3:15pm.
Tear Down
Vendors may begin breaking down their booth at 3:00pm. Early tear down is not allowed. Vehicles may
be brought back on the grounds once vendors have finished tearing down most of their booth and are
ready to load.
Sales Tax and Insurance
It is the responsibility of the vendor to pay their own sales tax. The Downtown Rockford Vintage Market
management will not be collecting sales receipts.
Insurance is also the responsibility of the vendor and all vendors are expected to have a copy of their
certificate on hand at the event. The Rockford Vintage Market management and staff are not liable for
any damage/injury in relation to the vendor or the vendor booth space.
Vendor Conduct
Vendors are expected to stay the entire market
Tarps or other coverings may not be hung from the market pavilion
Vendors may not enter the Downtown Rockford Vintage Market with the intent to sell products on a day
that they have not signed up and paid to vend without prior approval by management
Smoking will not be allowed within market grounds
