SMS Results
The SMS result option allows the League to have scores, reported by SMS text
message and will allow us to get results published “instantly”. Furthermore, it helps
to reduce the risk of teams forgetting to report results, as Full-Time sends them a
text message prompting them to report the score.
Who Can Report Results
For each team, two mobile numbers can be registered - We WOULD RECOMMEND
THAT EACH TEAM NOMINATES THEIR MANAGER + ASSISTANT MANAGER.
It is clubs responsibility to ensure these mobile contact numbers are correct and if any
need changing throughout the season then please contact the League Secretary to
update
With the SMS system, home and away clubs both report scores and any conflicts in
score will be flagged in the League administration page.
The SMS Text Prompt
During each game (normally 15 minutes after kick-off), the Full-Time will send an SMS
Text Message to each registered mobile number, reminding them to send in the result
of the game. After the game, both home and away clubs should report the score by
replying to their message, giving the score for the game, home team first, away team
second, separated by a hyphen.
For an Under 15 game scheduled between Mill Hill U15 and Crown Paints U15 played on
the 21st Sept at 2pm and Example text message received on phone:FA Full-Time Automated Results: MH15 v CP15 Sun 21 Sep 14:00. Reply with home
and away scorers exactly in the format: H-A e.g. 2-1
To report a 2-1 win to the home side you would simply text a reply
2-1
Full-Time allows you to report postponements (RESULT P-P) and abandonment’s
(RESULT A-A).
If you are having problems with sending in results, check the following: Don’t submit the score before you receive the incoming SMS prompt from FullTime
 If Full-Time asks for a team code, make sure it’s included, AFTER the scores.
 Make sure you give the home score first, away score second.
 Tell the league if you change your mobile number
 Tell the league if a fixture is incorrect on Full-Time before the game is played.
 Remember that the SMS score is processed by a computer, so the format needs
to be correct.
 If you make a mistake and text the wrong score simply send another as the
system will take the last recorded message until the league lock the results.
 The Web will not accept any text messages 48 hrs after kick off – however the
league rule remains that all results must be returned by 6pm on Sundays and
9pm for midweek games
ELFA – Football First Enjoyment Foremost
As results are displayed on the league website within minutes of the text being
sent by the manager, Club Secretaries can easily check during the afternoon to
ensure all their managers have responded and submitted their match result. This
will obviously reduce the number of fines issued for results not being sent in.
Please also note - the League is able to check the SMS message traffic (for example
to see whether a club who claim they reported a result really did!). This will show text
messages received and also show that the text message was delivered.
CUP FIXTURES
From now all fixtures will be on the website including League Cup games and County Cup
games and a text message will be sent for each of these games, including the scores
after extra time and penalties.
The format of the outgoing SMS message sent to administrators for Cup Fixtures and
Other Fixtures is as follows:FA Full-Time Results: CHED v ARSD, Sun 12 Feb 14:15. Reply with H-A score &
code CHED followed by AET & PENS if required: eg 2-2 CHED 3-3 AET 3-1 PENS
The Team Administrator is therefore required to potentially send back up to four pieces
of information in the same SMS text message:1. Score – The score after normal time in the usual way
2. Short Code – if they are required to submit a short code, to identify which team is
involved.
3. Extra Time score – the score line after extra time, followed by AET (it is essential
that AET is included, to identify that the scores beforehand applies to extra time)
4. Penalty score – the score after penalties, followed by PEN (it is essential that PEN
is included, to identify that the scores beforehand applies to penalties)
If the normal time score is not level, then any extra time and penalty score will be
ignored. If extra time is not played, and the game goes direct to penalties, then do not
input an extra time score or AET
(e.g. 2-2 CHED 3-1 PEN means the game finished 2-2 and went straight to penalties)

MULTIPLE RESULT SUBMSISSION
Whilst we would encourage clubs to register individual mobile numbers for each team as
above, the system can allow a mobile number to be registered to more than one team, e.g
Club Secretary, in which case Full-Time will include a team code, which you need to add
after the result so that Full-Time can identify which team is being reported. In the
above example the text you would receive would say:FA Full-Time Automated Results: MH15 v CP15 Sun 21 Sep 14:00. Reply with home and
away scorers exactly in the format: H-A MH15 e.g. 2-1 MH15
Note the MH15 team code at the end. The reply would be: 2-1 MH15
Each team is allocated a short code at the start of the season and these will be emailed
to clubs at the start of the season for your reference only. This will only need to be
added if you are receiving text alerts for more than one team.
It is important to note you should not add other information and that the text must
begin with the word RESULT or Full-Time will ignore it. The text must be sent from one
of the registered mobiles (as Full- Time identifies you by the mobile number it has been
given)
Logging on to FA Full Time
Once you’ve received your username and password from the league Secretary you can log
onto Full-Time for the first time. There will be one unique username and password per
club.
1. Go to the Full-Time home page, http://www.thefa.com/fulltime and click on
“Sign In”
The “Admin Home” menu for Full-Time will appear
As can be seen there are a number of options available and in time we will look to
increase the functionality for each club but at present we are simply going to use the
RESULTS/ STATS section

2. How to… Change Your Password
Clubs can change their own password, which we hope will encourage better practice and
security amongst users. You are reminded that you should not use the same password as
your username, and that you should not share login details with others (if other people
need access, the league administrators can set them up to do so).
Step 1: From “Admin Home”, click on “Change Password”
Step 2: On the “Change Password” screen, enter your existing password, and your new
password -you are asked to input the new one twice, to ensure you don’t make any typing
mistakes).
Full-Time will confirm that you have changed your password successfully.
ELFA – Football First Enjoyment Foremost
3. How to… Retrieve a Forgotten Password
An option exists to allow users to retrieve a forgotten password, by getting it sent to
their email address. For security reasons, this email address must already be registered
on Full-Time. If you have forgotten your password, and your email address is not on FullTime, then you will need to contact your League Secretary to get your password reset.
Step 1: From the Sign-In page for Full-Time, click on the “Forgot Password?” link.
Step 2: On the “Request Password Reset” page you should input your username and
email address within Full-Time. If the email address entered does not match the email
address within Full-Time, then the password reset request will fail (Full-Time verifies
who you are by checking this email address)
Step 3: Assuming the email address matches your username, Full-Time will confirm that
an email has been sent to your email address (it cannot be sent to any other email
address).
Step 4: Within a few minutes, you should receive an email from Full-Time which includes
a link to a Reset Password page created specifically for you to use. This must be used
within 24 hours, or it will expire and you will need to request the reset password again.
Click on the link shown.
ELFA – Football First Enjoyment Foremost
Step 5: The Reset Password page will appear. Enter your new password (you will be
required to confirm it, to guard against typing mistakes) and click on “Reset Password”.
Full-Time will confirm that your password has been successfully reset.
Uploading your Registered Players
Before any Match Statistics can be registered on Full-Time, the club must have
registered its players with the League as per existing registration procedures. Once you
have received your Summary sheet of registered players from the league each team will
need to upload these players details onto the full time website using the spreadsheet
template issued to each club previously by the League.
You should be able to edit it using your spreadsheet package (Microsoft Excel, etc) –
open the file (note it isn’t a .xls or .xlsx file, so you’ll need to select the “All Files”
option). A blank spreadsheet will be emailed to Club Secretaries and also will be on the
website.
For each player you wish to upload, you should enter his/her details into the columns
highlighted in yellow
Important Note: It is essential that you input the required information in the
correct columns. You do not need to fill in all columns, but they must be in the
right order.
The information you may give is as follows (up to 22 different items):- The columns
highlighted in bold below are the MANDATORY columns that will be highlighted in
yellow on the spreadsheet and must be completed:-

league will any transfers.
Match Day Information
1. Allocate Marks for Referees and/or Assistants
Clubs are required to enter marks for referees and/or assistant referees. These marks
will be locked by League Administrators to prevent them being updated by clubs at a
later date. Please note you will not be able to enter your match card information until
you have entered your referee score.
Step 1: From “Admin Home”, click on “Results/Stats”.
Step 2: select the relevant match from the list provided (noting that every team from
your club with a fixture that day will be listed) and enter the referee’s mark out of 100
ELFA – Football First Enjoyment Foremost
Important Note: make sure you click Update, as this saves the mark. If you don’t click
Update then the mark will not be stored.
The marks are recorded within Full-Time (note they are not displayed publicly on our
website).
As per League Rules any score given to a referee of 60 or below must be accompanied by
a report emailed to the League Secretary detailing why
You can now click on the statistics link on the RHS of the screen for the relevant
match that you are entering details for
You will now be shown a respect monitoring screen which must be completed before you
can list which players participated in the match.
The Respect Marking page appears on the Team Statistics page. This asks both teams to
report on the following:1. Whether Spectator Barriers/Areas were used (most common in youth football).
2. Whether a Respect Handshake (pre- or post- match) took place.
3. Marks for behaviour of players from the opposition (1 = Very Poor, 5 = Excellent)
4. Marks for behaviour of supporters from the opposition (1 = Very Poor, 5 = Excellent)
5. Marks for behaviour of coach/manager from the opposition (1 = Very Poor, 5 =
Excellent)
6. Marks for Overall behaviour at this match – Both Teams (1 = Very Poor, 5 = Excellent)
7. Marks for Your team’s overall enjoyment of this match (1 = Very Poor, 5 = Excellent)
.
Note: These Respect Marks are standardised across all leagues (hence no facility to
change the marking range), and we hope all leagues will embrace them, as having a single
scheme across the county will not only benefit analysis at league level, but also for
counties and the Football Association.
8. At the bottom underneath the respect questions will be a further set of questions
under team marks that are again mandatory to answer. The number of questions will vary
depending on whether or not you are the home team or away team
e.g only the home team will be asked the following question -Did the Referee ring Home
team manager before game
ELFA – Football First Enjoyment Foremost
Important Note: make sure you click Update, as this saves the mark. If you don’t click
Update then the mark will not be stored. You cannot progress through until these
questions have been answered
2. Match card information
Once you have answered all questions and clicked on the update button you can then
input your match card player details by clicking on the statistics link at the top of
the page.
You cannot access this page until all the above information has been entered and
updated
Step 4: There are two pages for entering stats. The “Quick Stat Entry” page is easiest
to use.
ELFA – Football First Enjoyment Foremost
Step 5: For each player simply click whether they started the game or were used from
the bench or were an unused sub. You can also complete number of goals scored and
assists made for each player as well as nominating man of the match and click “Update
Stats for Players”.
You have now completed all the required match day information and you can log out.
Please note as per rule 11A this information
must be completed within 3 days of the match
being played.
Club Secretaries are encouraged to log on within this timescale and
check to ensure each team manager has entered all the relevant
information.
