Daily Student Announcements
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Seniors - it's time to vote for the two people who will be the Commencement Speakers at your
graduation ceremony! You will get to vote for two people, so log onto Schoology and tell us who you
want. VOTING WILL CLOSE THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 22, AT 3:30 PM
Guest passes are now available in the Activities Office for Prom. If you are bringing someone to
Prom who is not from Neenah High School, you must complete a Guest Pass. They are due April
27th.
Prom tickets for the Greek Gardens Neenah High School Prom and Post Prom will be on sale in
front of student services the week April 25- April 29 before and after school. The cost for prom is
$20.00 for a single ticket and $40 for a couple. Prom is from 8-11:30 on April 30th at Neenah High
School. Tickets for the Post Prom party with food, games and tons of prizes will also be on sale for
$5.00. The party is from 11:30 – 2:30.
Diversity Fair worker forms will be available in the Attendance Office starting on Monday, April
25. They must be completed and turned back in to Attendance by 3:30 pm on Wednesday, April 27 if
you plan to work at the Diversity Fair.
Informational Meeting for SPAMALOT Auditions will be held Wed., April 27th at 4pm in the Choir
Room. In order to introduce ourselves to you and provide information for how auditions for the
musical will work, we will have an informational meeting (which is not required), but highly
recommended. Times for the auditions will be available from 4:00 - 6:30 pm, auditions will be held in
the Mirror Room.
Vintage Tickets for NHS students and staff will go on sale April 27 at door 3. Sales to the general
public begin May 2. All tickets are reserved seating, and they cost $10.00 each.
Neenah High School Talent Show will take place on Friday, May 13th at 7 pm in Pickard
Auditorium. Tickets will be $5.
Take a tour and learn more about the Brigade on Thursday, May 12 from 4-6pm! We offer a summer
camps at Onaway Island for 4th-12th graders and a youth character building and leadership training
program for 5th-12th graders during the winter. The Brigade is located at 109 W Columbian Ave in
Neenah.
Heckrodt Wetland Reserve has an amazing volunteer program in the summer! High school
Students have the opportunity to volunteer Tues-Friday from 8:30-10:30 am or 8:30 am-12:00 pm. Go
to the Heckrodt website or call 920-720-9349 for more information.
The Grand Canyon Adventure is coming in 2017! You have an opportunity to take a fun and
educational trip to the Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks with your classmates / friends next
year. Mr. Meyer from Shattuck will be leading the group. The trip is scheduled from 6/3/2017 to

MONDAY:
Forensics meets today.
The Debate Team will meet in the Library every Monday from 6pm-8pm. (Scotty Thurwachter)
Knitting Club meets Mondays from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm in room 322. (Mrs. Uvaas)
The Urban Farm Club will meet on Mondays in room 404. (Mrs. Dorschner or Mrs. Rogers)
The AFS Club meets on Monday after school in room 164B from 3:25-3:45. (Mrs. Counter)
Anime Club meets on Mondays in room 200 after school. (Mrs. Hoff)
The Mindfulness club meets in room 519 on Monday at 7:15 am. We go through about 15
minutes of relaxing mindfulness in the hope of creating a positive start to the week!
TUESDAY:
SEA Club will be meeting on Tuesday mornings at 7:20 am in room 164B. (Mrs. Counter)
Student Council meets on Tuesday, at 7:15 am in the Conant Little Theater. (Mr. Laluzerne)
Art Club meets every Tuesday at 3:20 pm in room 420. (Mrs. Mullard)
The Chess Club will be meeting every Tuesday after school until 4:30 p.m. in the Apollo commons.
The Eco Club will be meeting the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. (Mrs. Vanderkolk)

SATURDAY:
Gaming Club – Meets to game on selected Saturdays.
The final Game day for this year will be a lock-in starting at 7 PM on Fri. May 13 to 8 AM Sat. May
14. Any individuals who plan to attend this lock-in need a permission slip which you can get from Mr.
Elliott. All permission slips need to be turned in no later than 3:20 pm on May 11th.

CONGRATULATIONS:
Alyssa Barnes was selected as a 2016 WIAA Scholar Athlete!! There were 787 seniors from more
than 412 Wisconsin high schools who were nominated. Alyssa is one of the four division one female
scholar athletes chosen for this incredible honor.
Jordan S. Slominski, a freshman at NHS, took part in the "Wisconsin 2016 Annual Chinese
Language Speech Contest" on Saturday April 16 in UW-Milwaukee. She won a second place in the
High school intermediate level category. She also performed a Chinese song at the Opening
Ceremony of the contest.
