¡La Batalla de Los Barcos! el transatlántico = 5 cuadros el crucero = 4 cuadros el velero = 3 cuadros la lancha = 2 cuadros 1) Each player has 4 boats with each type of boat occupying a specific number of spaces. 2) Before the game begins, arrange your boats on the grid horizontally or vertically according to the number of spaces. Don’t let the other player see the location of your boats. 3) Each player must pick a subject and verb to conjugate. Call out the conjugated verb for whatever tense you are working in. The example is in present tense: Ejemplo: yo – hablar yo hablo. Say: “Hay un barco en “yo hablo” 4) If the verb is conjugated correctly, your partner will respond with “agua” (water) or “golpe” (hit)…depending on whether the subject/verb combination hits one of the hidden boats. If the verb is not conjugated correctly, your partner will not give you an answer or will tell you to try again. Be sure you mark which spaces you have called out so you don’t say the same one again. 5) When the player hits the last space on a boat, the other player must say “hundido” (sunk!). Play continues until one player has sunk all of the other player’s boats. That player wins the game.
