Chairman’s Opening Comments.
– Thanked Chris Wildman for his hard work – last few
seasons
– Thank you for all volunteering to coach this season, you are
the most important element, apart from the players, key role
models in children’s rugby development
– Our offer to you for your coaching time is to fund coaching
development training – from the Fudge Trust
– Aim is to build a motivated and trained coaching cadre –
introduced John Russell who has volunteered to join U10’s
as a coaching assistant – I would like to see at least 3
coaches per age group by end of this season.
– U13 have joined forces with Westbury to form the
WestMinster team – Dave Thompson will work with
Westbury’s Julian Phelps – alternate training. Temporary
measure for this season, must generate more players for
next.
– I sit on the WRFC management committee and provide the
link to the senior club. Dealing with finance, membership,
the ground, sponsorship etc
– Player membership – we must try and increase this year –
bring a friend.
– Changes I want your support in introducing are; Coaches
coordinator, Team Administrators and coordinated support
to running the club house, by age groups – this will require
you to engage with your parents and get them to volunteer.
– Let’s use the enthusiasm surrounding the Rugby World Cup
and enjoy the game.
