All dates will be confirmed nearer each holiday period. If numbers are too low, we may not operate but you will be advised if this were to happen. New Start Primary 1 Pupils: With all new start pupils there is a settling in period at school and the days are shorter than normal. Your registration will start at the beginning of the term to ensure your place. However, we are unable to provide child care for hours outwith our usual service hours. You will need to organise additional care during these weeks of transition. Once your child is going to school during set hours we can drop off and/or pick up as normal. All P1 children will be given the highest level of care and comfort during this time as we understand all children are individuals and can react to starting school differently. We always ensure that children are handed over to their respective teachers at the start of the school day. We ask that you inform your child’s teacher that they attend Scamps and on which days so they are able to support your child into this new routine. Drop off at school: Mile End Primary School only. ALL children will be escorted on foot to school from BSC arriving in time for the first bell at 08:55. Our staff members will remain in the school grounds with the children to ensure that all children are safely in school before leaving the premises. At this point responsibility for the children reverts to the school. Collection from school: Mile End Primary School only. Scamps | Service Information | Reviewed & Revised June 2016 |Confidential Bus Fares: During day trips we often use public transport. Bus fares will always be included in the trip fees shown. Club Cap: Every member using HPS has a club cap* to be used on trips and outings during our holiday play schemes or in service days. This is primarily as a security measure so we can easily identify your child. *(Cap price is included in the registration fees. Club cap will be held in club for your child). Bi-annual updates are now required by the Care Inspectorate on all paperwork – April & October. If you allow your membership to lapse despite reminders your details will be removed from the database system and you will no longer have access. You will be required to fully re-register in order to access the club facilities. You will be charged again for registration. Invoices & Payments: All invoices are issued by our accounting software Xero via email. Please ensure you give us an email address that is accessed regularly. Invoices are issued on or around the 20th of the month and due for full payment by 5th of the following month. All payments should be made via online or internet banking (this keeps our bank fees at a minimum and payments are easier to track) Please make sure you put your child’s name as a reference. If paying by childcare vouchers, please be aware that the date you sanction payment is NOT the day we receive it. Usually we will get an email saying that payment will be made in 3-5 days and it will often take a further 2-3 days to register in our account. Child Care Voucher Companies we are currently registered with: Edenred, Sodexo, Care4, MyFamilyCare, Fideliti, Computershare, Childcare Plus, Allsave, Kiddivouchers, Busy Bees, FairCare and Mid Counties Cooperative. If you don’t see yours listed above, please let me know and we can give you the details and arrange to become registered. We DO NOT accept cash or cheques as we are not insured to hold it on the premises and staff are not insured to carry it to the bank. Please contact Ruth if you wish to discuss this. Any member with unpaid invoices for 30+ days will no longer be able to access the club’s facilities until all arrears are brought up to date. Pre-Registration/Familiarisation Visit: We welcome and strongly advocate that you come for a pre-registration visit with your child/children and meet the staff, see the club setting and all the things we do. Please do not hesitate to contact Nita or myself and we will be happy to arrange this; usually we say afternoons between 16:30pm and 17:30pm are best, but we can be flexible around your needs. Thank you for considering Scamps Out of School Clubs for your child care requirements. With thanks and kind regards, Ruth B.
