Mary Goll, Deacon of Prayer, along with her team members, Opal
Glaze, Jeanneen Jewell, Melanie Donaldson, Jan Kelly, Ellen Luna,
Jo Ann Peterson, Dotty Rawlins, Frances Sample, Sandra
Shipp, Linnie Soltau, Mariana Sullivan, Carla Szafran, Pat Taylor, Hilda Vale, and Terry Wohlfahrt, remind us of Acts 1:14, “They
all joined constantly in prayer.” They pray for the congregation,
the church, and the world, and assist in giving us tools to focus
our prayer lives through the Monthly Prayer Calendar. Mary and
her team and their staff liaison, Beau Sullivan, hope you will share
your prayer needs and joys with them.
Glenda Bays, Deacon of Congregational Care, reminds us of Galatians
6:10, “as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to
those who belong to the family of believers.” Jesus showed His care for
all in His kingdom and reminded the disciples to care for all. Glenda's
team, Anna Lee Allen, Mary Alphin, Paul Anderson, Debbie Bankston,
Bob Bement, Shane Best, Jim Brun, Kathy Diamond, Melanie Donaldson, David and Ellen Luna, Mary Ferrell, Beth Franklin, Jeanneen Jewell, William McCluskey, Marge Smith, Linnie Soltau, Jim Taylor, Edwyna
Testerman, and Barbara Walker, contacts those members who may be
experiencing separation from our church body due to illness, loss, age, or
other circumstances. With guidance from Pastor Beau Sullivan, the congregational care team reaches out to these individuals with visits, calls,
and cards. These Deacons and their teams work quietly and diligently to
