Ensure LA arrangements for the provision of Disaster and Temporary Mortuaries are in place within each LRF area and comply with the revised 2008 planning assumptions. Humanitarian Assistance Centres DATES: Project in each LRF Apr 2010-Mar2011 Enhance regional LA capability to provide an HAC within 72hrs of an emergency. LEAD: LRF Area project lead officers appointed Q4 2009/10. Q1 Commission and monitor work programme to revise HAC Plan. Green. Civil Contingencies Act Expectation and Indicators of Good Practice Set. National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Core Competences. Page 8 of 8 Local planning awaits priority of sites that require specific plans and provision of detailed inundation mapping – both expected in December 2009 but delayed. Planning by local authorities expected to commence in 2010. London Flood T&F Group to develop generic plan for the region. Presented to London LRFs. Implications for all authorities to consider. Most Local authority elements included have been included in MSLt2. Further guidance on application of NOS and CC Framework is awaited. NOS are designed to support individual and organisational development and quality assurance. The Emergency Planning Society developed Core Competences in line with NOS to: map NOS against an academic syllabus; expand NOS to include attitudes, behaviours and professional outcomes; provide an EPS membership structure based on audit, assessment and accreditation. Structures to enable audit and accreditation of practitioners and training programmes are expected in 2010/11. Produced by
