Junior-Season-Details-2016-17-3

Welcome to Yeovil Junior Netball Club - 2016/17
Training
For 11-14 year olds training is from 5.45-6.50pm every Wednesday from Sept to April
(except half term holidays).
Please arrive in sufficient time to be ready to begin warming up at 5.45pm. There is usually a member
of the coaching team at the court by 5.30pm, please do not leave girls unless one of us is there.
Similarly, when collecting, please collect girls from the courts and not the car park or outside the
school.
Money
The preferred method of payment is by standing order or BACs transfer, however, if paying by cheque,
please make it payable to ‘Yeovil Junior Netball Club’. Any cash payments should be given to your
coach in a labelled envelope.
Registration/Affiliation Fee
£15 (payable ASAP)
Your Registration Fee includes affiliation to All England Netball Association,
which provides a free quarterly magazine and Civil and Personal Accident
Insurance.
Training fees
£12 (payable on the 1st Weds of each month)
Match Fees
£3
If you would like to pay for the entire season up front (excluding match fees), the cost is £87. This
includes affiliation and training from Sep ‘16 to Mar ‘17. NOTE: there is a £7 discount for those able to
pay the entirety of the fees before 11th September 2016. If you would like to pay by BACs, please use
the account details on the Direct Transfer Information sheet available on the website, and use the
player’s name as a reference, or write a cheque for the full amount, putting the player’s name on the
reverse of the cheque.
Even though we train for 7 months of the year, we only charge for 6 months, as we don’t train for the
whole of March and usually there will have been at least one training session cancelled due to poor
weather. This is why we only ask for 6 monthly payments whether by standing order or cash/cheque.
If you would like to pay the full amount or the monthly training fees by monthly standing order, please
fill in the Standing Order form available on the website, and return it to the treasurer, Lisa Routh. She
will then send it on to your bank in readiness for the 1st payment.
If you would rather pay the fees in cash or by cheque, please make sure you pay the affiliation fee at
the registration day. Please then give your child’s coach the monthly training fees, in a labelled
envelope on the first Weds of each month. The preferred method of payment is by cheque, which
should be made payable to ‘Yeovil Junior Netball Club’, with the player’s name on the reverse.
There are also reduced training fees for those with 2 or more family members in the club, please speak
to Hollie Wright or Lisa Routh.
Match fees should be paid at each match and given to the team coach/manager.

alleviate any parking issues we may encounter this season and also ensure that we see parents picking
up players.
We have been asked to keep the area beside the courts free from cars, so that it can be used as an
admin area during the change over between seniors and juniors.
Tournaments
We enter teams into a County League, which is run through a series of tournaments at King’s School
once a month. This is open to all players able to commit, please reply appropriately on Teamer and/or

Yeovil Netball Club is committed to ensuring all our young people enjoy netball in a safe and
secure environment.
This commitment extends to “Drop off and Pick up Time” at any of our training sessions and
fixtures.
Drop off and Pick up time at our Juniors Training Sessions:
This is a really busy time and there are a lot of children moving around Westfield Academy
before and after Junior Training. Please can all parents/carers take great care in the car parks
at these times.
Please remember not to leave girls unless one of the coaching team is there. In addition, please
do not drive on any of the paths leading to or from the courts. Similarly, when picking up at the
end of the training session at 6.50pm, please collect all girls from the courts and not the car park
or outside the school. It is too dark and busy at the end of the session for the girls to be moving
around Westfield Academy unsupervised.
It is also important that the girls are collected promptly at 6.50pm, as our Senior Club has its
training session straight afterwards. It is far safer and better if the car park is clear of the Junior
players before the Senior players start arriving.
Don’t forget there is plenty of additional parking at Westfield Academy at the Lower School. If
you come in through the lower school entrance , pass the new astro-turf and around the side of
the school buildings there is lots of parking just by the footpath that leads up to the courts.
If you have any queries or concerns regarding drop off and pick up arrangements please do not
hesitate to contact myself.
