2016-17 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP GUIDELINES
Competition Format
1. Competitions should be run in pools / round robin tournaments as far as possible
rather than a knockout formation.
2. Two qualifiers should progress from each county round to the regional round
(please check with Regional organiser). Two qualifiers from the U12 competition will
progress from each regional round to the national round. Please note that there are
no national finals for U10s.
3. Where pools operated, 3 points will be awarded for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a
loss. On the completion of pools, if points are level their position will be determined
by goal difference, goals scored, winner of the match between the teams, barrage
of 3 penalty strokes, sudden death penalty strokes.
4. All rounds will be played in accordance with the rules of 7 a-side In2Hockey,

Entry into the Competition
1. All Clubs located within the geographical county are eligible to enter teams into
the county round. Clubs are encouraged to enter more than one team. However
only one team from a club can qualify for the regional round
2. All teams must complete an entry form to compete in the competition and are
deemed to adhere to the regulations upon entry.
Player Eligibility
1. Players may only represent one Club per season.
2. Players shall not represent more than one age group for that Club in any England
Hockey competition in any one Season. This includes U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18
competitions.
3. For the 2016-17 Championship players must be Under 10 or Under 12 on
the 31st August 2016.
4. Girls teams must consist of girls only. Boys teams at Under 12 must consist of
boys only. However Under 10 boys teams may include two girls.
5. Each squad may comprise of a maximum of ten players, with seven on the pitch
at once.

Format of Competitions
The National In2Hockey Club Championships are designed to let as many
girls and boys as possible take part in seven-a-side games organised
across half of a full size pitch.
Each County organises tournaments for Girls and Boys teams with the
winners and runners up progressing to a regional round (Please check with
regional organiser). Details for your County competition are shown below.
Clubs may enter as many teams as they wish at both Under 10 and Under
12 age groups.
