PS4 Gaming Console Setup
In order to register your game console for use on wired or wireless networks, you need to determine its
MAC address. These instructions will explain how.
Go to Settings
System->System information
Submit an ITS request to obtain authorization for this device by going to
http://www.brocku.ca/information-technology/footprints/
You will receive a response to your ticket that the MAC address has been validated. You can then
proceed with the rest of the setup.
Settings -> Network
Setup Internet Connection
Use Wi-Fi -> Custom->Set Up Manually
Enter Manually
Enter SSID as brockgaming
Please enter the following setting:
Security Method: None
IP Address Settings: Automatic
DHCP Host Name: Do Not Specify
DNS Settings: Automatic
MTU Settings: Automatic
Proxy Server: Do Not Use
You can now test your internet connection.
If you see the following, you’re connected.
