Ideas for Sid the Science Sloth

Hi
My name is Sid, and I am a Science Sloth.
I am so glad to be out of that box and am ready to get involved with any science
you do at school or at home.
It would make me so happy to see what it is you are learning, and maybe we can
learn some new things together?
Take your turn to let me visit your home, where we can do some science
together. I love exploring new places.
Draw a picture or take a photo of what we do together, so I can share it with
new friends I meet in the future.
I am ready to get started… who’s going to be first to take me on a science
adventure?

Welcome Sid, the Science Sloth
Our school has a new member, Sid the Science Sloth, which children are invited to take
home and do some science! Sid has his own diary to record what he has been up to. When
it is your child’s turn to bring Sid home, please could you think of some science they could
do together and encourage your child to record it in the diary. If you could take a photo of Sid
doing science with your child as well, that would be great! You don’t have to stick to doing
science at home, you could take Sid to the shops, supermarket or the beach!
Make sure you always check what your child is doing and keep safe.
