ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS FOR ALL DAYS – all prices include GST
A non-refundable booking fee of $200.00 for MANSW Institutional members or $275.00 for nonmember schools must be paid initially to secure a booking.
There is a $70.00 administration fee for MANSW Institutional members or $140.00 for non-member
schools.
STUDENT TICKET COSTS – all prices include GST
$30.00 per student without a seasonal pass.
$5.00 per student with a seasonal pass – this cost is for the provision of worksheets.
 Extra tickets bought on the day of excursion $30.00.
 Refunds on unused tickets will incur a $140.00 administration fee.
TEACHER TICKET COSTS
The school is provided with free supervising teachers according to the following ratios:
Primary:
1 free riding-supervising teacher ticket for every 8 students.
Secondary:



1 free riding-supervising teacher ticket for every 15 students.
These minimum ratios must be strictly adhered to.
Schools desiring a higher supervision ratio on rides can purchase additional riding-supervisor
tickets for $30.00 each. This is for supervisors who may use the rides in order to supervise the
students.
Entry to the Luna Park concourse is free and so there is no charge for non-riding supervisors.
Coney Island is considered to be a ride and teachers who wish to enter Coney Island with their
students must have a riding-supervisor’s ticket.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 Luna Park rides are only opened on Monday and Friday – February to November. The park is
closed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during these months.
 Luna Park is open every day for the month of December.
 We can not guarantee that no other school groups will be present at Luna Park on our pre-booked
Mathematics days
 Luna Park is an all weather facility which is open regardless of weather conditions.
TIME
 Luna Park is open 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
 If you intend to arrive later than 11:00 am please notify the MANSW office.
TRANSPORT
 Schools must make their own transport arrangements.
 Milsons Point railway station is very close to the park and regular ferry services run from Circular
Quay and Darling Harbour.
CLOTHING
 Students should wear school or sports uniform with the school’s identification clearly visible.
FOOD
 Refreshment outlets will be open for purchase of food and drinks.
 Students may bring their own food and drink but no glass or metal containers are allowed on the
site.

HOW TO SECURE A BOOKING
 Complete the booking form available on the MANSW website www.mansw.nsw.edu.au.
 Pay the non-refundable booking deposit:
$200.00 (including GST) for MANSW members; $275.00 (including GST) for non-members.
 Final payment is due four weeks prior to the excursion date.
 Student numbers can be adjusted within reason when final payment is due.
 Please note that a reduction in student numbers can affect the number of free riding supervisor tickets
allocated to your group.
 Some additional tickets can be purchased on the day if necessary. Schools will be invoiced for any
extra tickets provided.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
 A booking confirmation email will be sent when you book through our website.
 A receipt will be emailed to you when you pay the deposit.
 An invoice will be emailed to you when ticket numbers have been finalized.
 A receipt will be emailed to you when you make full payment.
TICKETS
Tickets will be in the form of wristbands which you must collect from the MANSW representative at the
Big Top box office on the day.
WORKSHEETS
Three levels of worksheets have been designed to suit student ability and course levels. Once final
payment is made four weeks prior to the excursion date, the worksheet masters will be emailed to the
excursion contact teacher.
Please Note: MANSW owns the copyright on these worksheets. The worksheets can be copied for use in
the year they are issued. Copying them for use in subsequent years is in breach of copyright laws.
CONDITIONS






Full payment must be finalised four weeks before the excursion date.
The $200/$275 deposit is non-refundable.
Any monies in excess of this amount which have been paid earlier than four weeks before excursion
date will be refunded if the school cancels prior to four weeks before the booked excursion date.
No refunds for cancellations that are made less than four weeks prior to excursion date.
Refunds for unused ticket on day of excursion will incur a $140.00 fee (including GST).
The worksheets are only approved for use in the year that the school attends a Luna Park excursion
booked through MANSW.
