Exporting from ACM Digital Library to RefWorks Choose to view the full citation of the article you are interested in by clicking on the title in the results list: Click on BibTex under Export Formats on the right-hand side. Highlight the record in this BibTex Format window. Use Ctrl+C (or right-click the mouse) to copy the record. Teesside University, Library and Information Services July 2015 Return to your RefWorks account. From the References pull-down menu select Import. 1. Open up the From Text section 2. Select BibTex as the Import Filter / Data Source. 3. Select ACM Digital Library (BibTex format) as the Database 4. Paste (using Ctrl V) the text that you previously copied into this box. 5. Click on Import Click on View Last Imported Folder to see this record. Word of caution: The journal title is only exported in an abbreviated form and you will need to go into the Edit page (the pencil icon) and add the full-title details into the Periodical, Full field. Click on Save Reference An alternative way: Click on the Download button in the BibTex box and save the file and follow the procedure below. Teesside University, Library and Information Services July 2015 How to export more than one record at once: An alternative way to import a set of references is to: Paste the information from the BibTex window into a Word document / or notepad. Repeat the display and copy/paste for other articles of interest. Save the document as a text file (.txt) Return to your RefWorks account From the Reference pull-down menu select Import. 1. Make sure that the From Text File section is open 2. Select BibTex 3. Select ACM Digital Library (BibTeX format) 4. Browse for the file you have saved and open it to here. 5.
