Winter League 2008
League Schedule: Jan 5, 12, 19 & 26. Total 4 sessions. Possibly extended for 4 more.
Playoff date to be notified (Limit to first 60 members on first comes, first served basis).
Eligibility & Fee:
a. LBTTC members are automatically eligible. LBTTC membership fee: $150/year or $80/half year.
Juniors (under 18) pay half price. Non-members may pay floor fee of $5 per day.
b. New participants with valid membership fill out the form and pay a $10 registration fee.
c. Return players with valid membership just pay $10 registration fee to Winston or Mony at the club.
Please note that USATT league membership is no longer required.
Rules: USATT rules will govern the games, equipment, clothing and conduct of players.
Time Schedule: (On scheduled Saturdays, from 9:00 to 12:45 PM)
a. All players must check-in when they arrive. Cut off time is 9:20 AM.
b. Share table to warm up between 9:00 to 9:20 AM. League games will start at 9:30 sharp.
Ranking: We will use the already established league rating for return players. New USATT players will begin
with existing USATT rating. Un-rated new players will be given initial rating.
Format: All available league members will be put in groups of 4, 5 or 6 players. The top 4, 5 or 6 players are
put in the top group, the next 4, 5 or 6 players in the second group, and so on down the ranking list.
Grouping may also be formed by random draw or by alternate sequence. The League Committee will
endeavor to do this as fairly as possible.
Scoring: A player scores 3 points for each match won. 1 bonus point will be awarded to each match lost,
computed at the end of the league, after adjustment. No point for default loss.
Trophy Awards:
a. Players must play at least 50% of the league to be eligible.
b. The top 4 players from each division will be qualified to enter the final Round Robin playoff. The
playoff date will be announced at the last session of the league.
c. Trophies will be awarded to the 1st place and 2nd place players from each division.
Divisions & Rating Brackets: League Committee will announce the divisions & rating brackets, based on the
number of participants per group, at the appropriate time.
Rating System: (League rating will not affect your USATT rating.)
a. All league match results are submitted to USATT League site and adjusted according to the USATT
League rating chart.
b. In future, the league rating may be used as a reference to get rating from USATT sanctioned tournaments.
Note: USATT League site maintains and monitors the rating.
