Parents’ Night Out Child Development Center IV will host a Parents’ Night Out on June 16 from
6:30-10:00 p.m. Childcare will be provided for parents with children ages 6
weeks-11 years old. Cost is $20 per child (non-refundable). Spaces are
limited and registration is required! Registration begins on May 17! All
children must be currently registered with MWR’s Child & Youth Services. If
youth are not registered with CYS, they must be registered prior to the

Fort Meade Farmers Market - Tomorrow!
Come shop at Fort Meade’s very own Farmers Market beginning on May 17 from
10:00 am-2:00 p.m. at the Meade Pavilion. We will be kicking off the Farmers
Market with our special guest, Wonder Bunny Magician who will be performing
from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. There will be a magic show, balloon art and more
so bring the kids! The market will feature a variety of fresh fruit,
vegetables, seafood, soaps, candles and much more! Each week the market will

Dinner-N-Dash (Meals to Go) Wednesday’s!
Need a quick and delicious dinner to go? Club Meade now offers family sized
meals “to go” every Wednesday. Choose between two ($24) or four ($48)
portions. Orders may be placed Monday- Wednesday (by noon) for that
evening’s meal. Payment is required in advance. Meals may be picked up
between 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Club Meade.

EFMP Bowling Event The Exceptional Family Member Program is sponsoring their monthly bowling
event on May 17, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at The Lanes on Fort Meade. Exceptional
Family members will receive a free bowling game and shoe rental. Other EFMP

Teen Resume Writing Workshop Are you trying to get a summer job? Need to write a resume? Join us for a

Armed Forces Day Free Bowling All military families are invited to free bowling on May 20, noon to 5:00
p.m. at the Lanes at Fort Meade. This event is free and is open to all
military ID card holders and their families. Unlimited free bowling and
shoes for Active Duty I.D. Card Holders and their family members. Retiree
I.D. card holders and their family members receive 2 free games and free

Run to Honor 5K/10K In support of Armed Forces Day, Fort Meade’s 2017 Run Series will have a
5K/10K Run on May 20, 8 a.m. at Murphy Field House. Registration will be
available the morning of the run, May 20 beginning at 7 a.m. at Murphy Field
House.

100th Anniversary Gala (Tickets on sale) Join us for a 100th Anniversary Gala in celebration of Fort George G.

Dance Club Fitness Classes Join us for a new fitness class where the nightclub meets fitness! Classes
are held Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:00- 1:00 p.m. at Gaffney Fitness Center.
This class is designed to get participants motivated to exercise while
dancing to popular music. This a great way to burn calories and work major

Youth Summer Sports Registration Youth Sports is currently registering for the 2017 Spring Season. Sports
include Soccer, Baseball, NFL Flag Football, Lacrosse, and Ready, Set, Run.
The season is going to kick off on March 27th. Volunteer Coaches are needed
for all sports and will receive a discount for their children as well as
free training from the National Alliance for Youth Sports. To register,

Community Job Fair The Fort Meade Community Job Fair will be held on 24 May 2017 from 9 a.m. to
2 p.m. at Club Meade, 6600 Mapes Road. The event is open to all job seekers
and is free of charge. The job fair will host more than sixty employers and
companies, so it is advised to bring plenty of resume copies to the event.
Additional features of the event include a "Resume Doctor Service" that
provides free on-site resume evaluation and preparation assistance. In
addition, free Sign Language interpreter service is available. A free
shuttle bus takes attendees from the Visitor Control Center parking lot
directly to the entrance of Club Meade and back. For a complete list of

Midnight Basketball Teens in grades 9 – 12th are invited to the Teen Center on May 26, 8:00
p.m.- Midnight for a fun filled evening of basketball. Enjoy pickup games,

Driver’s Education Course Does your teenager need their driver’s license? Enroll them in our upcoming
certified course being held June 5-16, 3:00-6:15 p.m. at the Teen Center.
The cost is $320 per student; this includes, 30 hours of classroom education
and 6 hours of behind the wheel training. All participants must be
registered with CYSS prior to enrolling in class. Registration ends on May

Army 10 Miler Qualifier Attention Runners of Fort Meade! The new date for the Army Ten-Miler
qualifier will take place on Friday, June 9 at 0630 starting at Murphy Field
House. The top male and female runners will be selected to represent Fort
Meade for this year's Army Ten-Miler race in October. Anyone who is active
duty and assigned to Fort Meade is eligible to participate. Those that
cannot make the 9 June date may also run to qualify at our Run to Honor
5K/10K on 20 May at 0800 at Murphy Field House (same route). Please contact
