InfoCaster Manager 4.8.4 Release Notes
InfoCaster Manager 4.8.4 requires a purple USB dongle (or green HL dongle with code #Y1CXW) serialized to version 4.x.
If you already have a previous version of InfoCaster Network Manager or InfoCaster Manager, you will need to purchase an
upgrade for your product. Please contact your sales representative or Digital Signage technical support for more information.
Important Notes
Installing with InfoCaster
InfoCaster and InfoCaster Manager 4.8.4 share common resources when they are installed on the
same machine. If you uninstall one of these applications and want to continue using the other
installed application on the same system, be sure to uninstall the remaining application, then
reinstall it to ensure common resources are maintained.
Scheduled Triggers
InfoCaster Manager 4.8.4 Pro includes an advanced triggering feature which is incompatible with
scheduled triggers from versions previous to 4.7.1. If you have defined any scheduled triggers in
previous versions of InfoCaster Manager, see the “Send Triggers to Players” section of the
InfoCaster Manager User Guide to learn how to reconfigure your old triggers with the new
triggering feature.
Triggers which fire immediately or with an offset do not need to be reconfigured
Console Management of Selected Players
In InfoCaster Manager 4.6.1 the method of assigning selected players to a console was improved to
use conditions instead of a single list.
To ensure compatibility with previous versions of InfoCaster Manager, old console player
assignments are automatically converted to conditions in InfoCaster Manager 4.8.4. For each
console, the players are added to a single condition in the form:
Name Equals “Player 1” or “Player 2” or “Player 3”...
