2nd ANNUAL BONDURANT WRESTLING CLUB K-6 WRESTLING TEAM DUAL Sunday, January 8th, 2017 Location: Bondurant High School gym, 1000 Grant Street North, Bondurant, IA 50035. Entry Fee: $300 per team and non-refundable. Entrants: K-6th grades are eligible. A team will consist of 20 wrestlers, 4 alternates, and 2 coaches. Tournament Format: The tournament will consist of 5 teams, will wrestle a round robin format against the other 4 teams. Best overall record is the team champion. 2nd best record is team runner up. A coin flip will determine even/odd choice prior to each dual. Will run 2 full sized mats, 1 team will have a bye each round. Will have certified officials. Weights: 45, 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66, 69, 72, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 115, 125, HWT (no limit). We will round DOWN at weigh-ins (example 66.9 will be 66, 95.6 will be 95). We will have a check scale prior to weigh ins. HWT points will only count if both teams have a HWT. Each wrestler will be eligible for 2 weight classes, the one they weigh in for and the next weight class up. Weigh Ins: 9:00-9:30am with wrestling starting at 10:00am. ENTIRE TEAM MUST WEIGH IN TOGETHER. Periods: All matches will be 1-1-1 minute periods, overtime 1 minute sudden victory and 30 second tiebreaker if needed. Exhibition Matches- coaches will organize these to wrestle between duals to get alternate wrestlers matches. Awards: Team trophies for 1st and 2nd place teams. Participation medals for all wrestlers. Beanies to undefeated wrestlers (wrestling at least 3 matches, excluding exhibition matches). Concessions: Will be available throughout the day. Spectator Admissions: $3 for adults, $1 for students Dual Meets: a. b. c. d. Six team points shall be scored toward the team total for each contestant who wins by a fall, default, forfeit, or disqualification. Five team points for a technical fall. Four team points for a major decision. Three team points for a decision Dual team score Tie Breaker rules: If two teams end up with an identical team score in a dual, high school rules will be followed to break the tied score, rule book will be on site. Breaking Team Overall Record Ties: If two teams end up with the same dual meet record after 4 duals, the below will be used to break the tie (considering the below for the head to head dual with tied teams): a. b. c. d. e. f. g. h. i. j. k.
