COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ANSWER
QUESTION
What are the average costs for
playing?
If 11 players pay an average cost per day, then the
organizer will generally cover all costs. (See Page 5)
Can we pay an up front fee for the
whole season or will we have to pay
umpiring fees to the umpire each
week?
Nomination fees are required when you nominate. Yes,
it is possible to pay wicket fees up front or week by
week. Most teams pay week by week.
How do we nominate what Grade
we would like to play in?
You can nominate by Geographic Regions: ie
Northside or Southside.
Umpire Expenses:
by EACH team.
Umpires are paid $50.00 per day
For the level of the Grade: We need your honest
answers to current player status and then we grade new
teams. We may also ask you questions on the
nomination nights when you come in to discuss
nominations with us.
Do you need to have player
insurance?
With the support of Cricket Australia, a national
Insurance scheme is in place and all registered players
on MyCricket are covered subject to being registered
correctly, including address and date of birth details.
Do you require a list of players for
the whole season and do these
players need to be registered by a
certain date?
When you submit the list of players on your nomination
form (along with their previous experience) that is the
guide for us to grade your team.
You will still have the opportunity to add new players,
but they would be expected to be in the same category
of player skills. ie: You wouldn’t bring in a State player
if you were in "C" grade in Warehouse.
Gidday and welcome to Warehouse Cricket.

FOR TEAM REGISTRATIONS
Thank you for your interest in playing fixtures with Warehouse Cricket. Our Association is comprised of many
teams, which play in any one or more of the following competitions. Some are larger clubs but most are single
team clubs that are comprised of mates or work associates. Many are looking for a player to supplement their
team
The purpose for this questionnaire is simply to enable me to assist you in finding a side that may best suit your

Secretary of prospective Team for coming Season
If you are considering to enter a new team in anyone of the competitions as listed on page 1 (Winter or
Summer – Saturday or Sunday) you should consider the following. A more specific information sheet is sent
out prior to the start of each season detailing costs and competition dates.
Costs
Subject to the season and competition, most teams would charge an average
daily cost of $18.00 - $22.00 per player. (depends on level of support you may
get from any sponsor or not). Costs cover such areas as:
Wicket Fees - paid each game to Host Club or Association
Umpires
- paid each day to the Umpire
Balls
- (you purchase these)
Gear
Most Teams have their players provide individual gear and retain only a small
team kit.
Player Numbers
This is the area of most concern: - It is in the interests of your own team as
well as the opposition teams in your grade that you have 11 players on the field
EVERY GAME. You would need at least 15 people on your books who are
committed to the season. If you obtain a “advance deposit” from each player,
then you have their commitment/interest?
FORFEITS
It is the policy of Warehouse Cricket that WICKET FEES are paid for EVERY
game, regardless of weather. (Ground-staff must still be paid despite the
weather).
Address & Phone Please forward the following items for me to place on the database and a
nomination form will be sent to you prior tot he season.

SENIOR TEAMS NOMINATING FOR 2015 WINTER SEASON
The following example is representative of the costs that a typical Single team Club would need to cover, given that no outside
sponsorship or support is available. These costs include GST where GST is applicable.
Wicket fees are payable for washed out games.
1:
2:
3:
4.
5.
Wicket Fees: All examples are based on Turf wickets which are in the main, $10 to $15 dearer than Synthetic Wickets.
Whilst calculations assume that all games will be allocated Umpires for each day, this is not always the case in lower grades.
Balls costs are based on average useage of 2 Piece balls (Premier League use $43.00 per ball.)
Cost per player is based on an average payment for each day, assuming each player pays an equal amount.
GST is payable on grounds operated by Warehouse Cricket and those clubs that are registered for GST.
For calculation purposes, it is assumed that GST will apply to all grounds. (Conclusion - Average Cost is the Higest possible)
