This project aims to improve PMTCT outcomes for HIV+ mothers and exposed infants, through
increased community mobilisation and follow-up involving community based organisations
The project has been designed with a view towards reducing the effects of sexual violence on
women, men, and children in the health zones of Kayna, Goma, and Karisimbi in North Kivu,
DRC. More specifically, the project works with partners, the community and the health care
system to ensure that survivors of sexual violence gain access to quality and timely care
including preventative treatments.
