Summary:
Responsibility for supporting CT Regions in the delivery
of the Prevent strand of the CONTEST strategy.
Represent NCTPHQ within these regions, but also
throughout the UK where required. Work includes the
support of the CT Network, driving performance,
monitoring the delivery of Prevent and adherence to
national policy and legislation, and other emerging
strategic work linked to the development of the Prevent
strategy.
*Extensive travelling throughout the UK and overnight
accommodation away from the home force area will be
a requirement to perform this role.
Key Tasks
The post holder will be required to do the following:





Represent National Coordinator Prevent and NCTPHQ at a regional level.
Maintain close liaison with Regional Prevent coordinators, force Prevent
leads and Prevent engagement practitioners acting as a conduit to and from
NCTPHQ and the Home Office.
Informed by the Prevent Performance Framework provide bespoke support
to forces in order to maximize local capability.
In conjunction with force practitioners collaborate with their local partners to
monitor current activity, feedback and the need for ongoing support.
Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for regional practitioners, partners
and stakeholders.

Undertake reviews related to Prevent delivery on a regular basis.
Represent NCTPHQ at meetings of all levels both internal across the network
and externally with partner stakeholders.
Provide support to NCTPHQ Prevent unit as required by Head of Unit.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office.
Strong organisational skills.
Show a strong sense of integrity, diplomacy and have experience of working
with confidential material.
Security Cleared / Developed Vetting or willing to undergo and maintain SC.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working
relationships.
The ability to use initiative and make decisions whilst working with minimum
supervision.
Be prepared to work flexible hours as and when required.
Knowledge of the CONTEST Strategy with evidenced experience of the
operational delivery of Prevent or related police workstreams
