Dear Bridge Player, First Things First I would like to thank you all for

Ace of Clubs
December 2003
Dear Bridge Player,
First Things First
I would like to thank you all for your
continued support over the past year.
Xmas Cheer
Do join us from Thursday 18th
December for wine and nibbles at
each session.
After the morning duplicate on
Monday 22nd December, Neil will be
running a complimentary workshop
discussing points of interest from the
morning’s hands. Everyone is
welcome.
New, Exciting
Improvements
Each of our duplicates offer hand
copies which have been run through
the ‘Deep Finesse’ bridge programme
enabling you to see what contract
can be made on each hand.
From January we will be giving a
prize to the pair that get the nearest
to 50% in the Monday morning
duplicate!
We are now on email, and hope to be
able to contact you every now and
then with our news. If you would like
to be included, please email us and
you will be added to our address
book. Our email address is:

The Team
I am truly delighted to introduce the
strongest, most professional team I
have ever had at the AOC:
Jill Feldman - Club Manager
NE
W
S
Since the introduction of our ‘first
come first served’ policy at the AOC, I
believe that we now have a fair
system. To clarify the position; there
is now no N/S booking allowed
unless you have a medical condition
when you may ring for a N/S on the
day of the duplicate. We have found
that people do not now have to arrive
unreasonably early to get a N/S seat.
Noorul Malik/Alan Burns - Club
Tournament Directors
Steve Capal, Sue Obrart, Judy
Babani, Simone Gold, Alistair Kent,
David Grigg, Cathy Allworth &
Barbara Cohen - Club supervisors
and hosts
Elaine, Suzy & Kate - Catering
organisers extraordinaire!
