2017 PENNSYLVANIA STATE WOMEN'S 500 CLUB TOURNAMENT RULES 1. Tournament is open to all members in good standing with USBC, PA State USBC WBA and PSW 500 Club. Please be sure to get a receipt from your League Secretary when paying your 2017-18 Memberships. PA State USBC WBA membership should be noted on the receipt if paid. Tournament is certified by USBC. Although multiple accomplishments are recognized, bowlers may only bowl once in each event (Doubles/Singles). 2. The Board will set entry fee and breakdown of prizes and expenses. ALL PRIZE MONEY IS RETURNED 100%. First Place Prizes in Doubles and Singles are guaranteed regardless of number of entries. 3.The game shall be the game of American Tenpins and shall consist of a singles and a doubles event. Doubles and Singles need not be bowled on successive squads or on the same day. Three games will be bowled on a pair of lanes. Bowlers shall report 1/2 hour before scheduled time. A bowler arriving late must start in the frame being bowled. No make-up frames allowed. An injured bowler unable to complete her series shall receive zero (0) pins for frames not completed. Bowling out will not be allowed for any reason. Games cannot be rebowled except as authorized by the tournament manager when scores are irrefutably lost in an automatic automatic scoring device. 4. The tournament shall be on a handicap basis. Handicap shall be 100% of 180. Only USBC Certified League Averages shall be accepted in the following order. A. Highest average from the 2016-17 winter or summer season, based on 21 games or more; B. Current league average of 12 games or more to tournament date (must be verified by league secretary); C. Any bowler not having an established average as indicated in A and B must enter with a 180 Average. 5. All averages are subject to verification by the tournament manager. USBC Rule 319a-1a, 3, 4 and 5 will apply. 6. USBC Rule 319a-2, 319d and 319e will not apply in this tournament. 7. Errors or violations of rules will subject entrant to forfeiture of entry fees paid and disqualification from prize list. 8. Errors in scoring must be presented within 24 hours. 9. The Board of Directors shall decide any questions not covered in the Tournament Rules and their decision shall be final unless an appeal is made in accordance with USBC Rule 329. 10. Prizes will be awarded at a ratio of at least one in five. Proposed prize list will be posted at the tournament site. All prize money will be based on total pins plus handicap. 11. Substitutes will be permitted providing any substitute is a paid up member of the PSW 500 Club by closing date of tournament. Paying new memberships at the tournament site to bowl/substitute in the tournament will not be accepted. 12. Entrants in this tournament do so at their own risk of personal injury. The PSW 500 Club shall not be liable for loss to personal property or personal injury received by a participant during travel to and from this competition.
