ABLE BC’s online purchasing portal for private liquor retailers
Use buyABLE to get instant access to engaged buyers, save time on
order processing, and reduce risk by quantifying demand.
In January 2016, ABLE BC launched buyABLE: our online purchasing portal for private liquor
retailers. This dynamic web-based platform is a new way for LRS and LP members with
on-premise sales to order exclusive, high-margin products with the click of a button.
Agents can use buyABLE to:

Generate significant incremental sales. An offer placed on buyABLE is seen by 350+ LRS and any orders
committed to are guaranteed. Buyers cannot back out or delay when the product arrives.

Test product and price pitches at no risk and no cost. buyABLE validates demand prior to you assuming any
cost. You set the threshold of cases needed to produce the product, the price, and the time frame in which
it is likely to be delivered.
OFFER GUIDELINES
Offer ABLE BC Members an opportunity that only they can get. The product offer must be channel-exclusive
and not be made available to government liquor stores.

LTO Pricing Offer: provide an LTO on a specific product for a specific future month. Execute the LTO only
once you collect the orders necessary to justify the price reduction.

Unique Product Offer: make or import a unique product for ABLE BC Members.

Clearance Product Offer: eliminate that cost anchor. Post a price offer only to be carried out if you get the
orders you need.

Send ABLE BC your agent number and GST number by email ([email protected]).
We will create a company profile for you on buyABLE.
You will receive an email requesting you to activate your account.
We will help you craft your first offers. From there, the only limitations to what you can do are what you can
think of.

COST

We are pleased to offer ABLE BC Associate Members the exclusive opportunity to post unlimited free
listings on buyABLE. Your listings will be featured in biweekly Industry Update e-newsletter to licensees.

There is a $25 fee per listing for non-members. To join as an Associate Member ($341.25 per year) please


There are no additional costs of any kind to access and participate in buyABLE.
DISTRIBUTION AND DELIVERY
There is no change to your current distribution or delivery process. Orders, when processed, follow the same
process as they would now, with the exception that individual orders are organized and submitted
instantaneously without the agent having to do anything but click a button.

LDB Distributed Products: processed orders are uploaded onto the customer’s orders at the LDB. Orders
are then charged and delivered in the same way as they are today.

Direct Delivery Products: buyABLE creates the Doc 60 and automatically sends it to whichever distributor
you designate.

Order Payment Processing: whether LDB Distributed or Direct Delivery, there are no changes to current
payment processing.
