It has been brought to our attention by the
Pinpoint league committee that parents are
shouting to players from the side lines. This
cannot continue, please remember that
managers and coaches are the only people to
shout out and give directions to players. It’s
good that parents want to get involved and
encourage the players but on most occasions all
that happens is the players get confused and in
some cases upset. Please refrain from coaching
or shouting to your child. We have been told
that unless clubs inform parents of their
behaviour on side lines parents could be asked
to leave the pitch, and will be banned from all
games.
As everyone will be aware this season we have
tried to encourage parents to set up a standing
order to pay subs, this is proving very difficult,
and some players have still not set one up. This
cannot continue we do have bills to pay and rely
on the subs paid to do this.
If you are one of the ones that have not set up
the standing order please do so, we do not want
to get to a point where we have to stop players
from playing on a Sunday due to subs not being
paid. It’s not fair on the boys whose parents
have done as we have asked.
Next season it has been decided that there will
be one week only for signing on of players,
which will be at a local venue yet to be decided.
We will also be asking parents to pay upfront
for their child’s subs. ie: pay £120 for the whole
season which is giving you one month’s free, or
pay £45 for the first 3 months and then leave us
2 post-dated cheques for the further other 2
quarters. If paying by cash your manager will
collect the further 2 quarters in November and
February.
There will be a fun day/trials day on Sunday 5th
June at All Saints Field 11am-2pm everyone
welcome.
Presentation night will be held at the
Lancastrian Suite on Friday 17th June more
information to follow nearer the time.
If any player is approached by another club to
train with them or is asked to play for them,
please speak to your child’s manager. Your
child cannot train with or play for another club
whilst being a player at West Denton. This also
applies if your child wants to play for another
team, managers must be spoken to first. If this
doesn’t happen your child could be stopped
from playing football until everything is sorted
out.
It is in your child’s interest to abide by this rule.
FUNDRAISING
We try to have at least one fundraising event
each year which helps to pay towards bills and
presentation night.
On Friday 29th January we will be holding a
fundraising evening with entertainment at the
Westerhope Excelsior club from 7pm tickets are
available from your manager or by ringing
Margaret on 07828545122. The cost is £3pp
adults only. Please support your childs club.
