RULES OF POKER TOURNAMENT PLAY – BELGRADE POKER INTERNATIONAL The Organizer of the Tournament is Grand Casino d.o.o. Beograd. “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM POKER” and “OMAHA POKER” Tournament Rules will be the official rules for Tournaments held at Grand Casino Beograd. These Rules are subject to the following: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older who accept tournament rules and register at Grand Casino d.o.o. Beograd (hereinafter “Grand Casino”) are eligible to enter the tournament. GCB employees and agents of sponsor are not allowed to enter. Tournament is not open to individuals under the age of eighteen (18). Entrants must present photo identification acceptable by the Organizer’s rules valid on the day of the tournament. The tournament is not open to individuals who are being barred or who have voluntarily excluded themselves from the casino. Entrants must present Government-issued photo identification on request. Failure to do so may result in termination of play. The Organizer reserves the right to verify the identity of each participant at any moment. Participant is a person who paid participation entry at the casino cash desk in the amount and in a period defined and announced by the Organizer. Organizer reserves the right to cancel or alter the announced Tournament for any reason. If cancelled, all entrants will be promptly notified and all monies paid shall be returned. If changed, all entrants will be promptly notified and all monies paid shall be returned to the entrants not wanting to participate. Remaining participant will have to adjust the payment according to the change. If the tournament is fully occupied, but guest paid for the entry, the Organizer is obliged to return the money. Neither party shall have further liability to the other. Organizer reserves the right to change the tournament structure during the tournament. All entrants are personally responsible to inform themselves before the start of each tournament about the special terms and conditions and its time-schedule. By participating in the tournament the player confirms her/his understanding of the tournament rules, Rules of Play for special game of chance Texas Hold’Em/Omaha Poker and other Rules, if applicable, and her/his agreement with them. Their compliance is confirmed by the act of paying the participation fee. By participating, all participants agree with recording and publishing of photo/video material; and also with releasing information in regards to their names and the amounts won. Usage of Serbian and English language is permitted during the tournament. Official terms are simple and unmistakable such as: bet, raise, call, fold, check and all- Play Within Your Limits 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. in. Using non-standard terms is at the sole responsibility of the player, as it can result in a decision contrary to the real intentions of the player. It is the responsibility of the player to make their intensions clear. The tournament participation fee is defined by the Organizer and paid by the participant at the casino cash desk to reserve the right to participate at the tournament. Winning pool consists of funds provided by the participant in order to enter the tournament which value has been determined and announced by the Organizer, before the tournament start. Winning pool is kept at the cash desk which is to coordinate payouts to the winners. Winning pool can be increased during the tournament, and the way and the values will be defined by the Organizer and announced before the tournament starts. The amount of 3% of the overall winning pool (Bounty part of winning pool excluded) shall be allocated for the purpose of tournament organization. Winning pool is the property of tournament participants and will be shared to the winners according to these Rules. To enter the tournament, participation has to be paid by tournament participant at cash desk of the Organizer. The Organizer will accept payment at the casino cash desk for daily tournaments on the same day, from the moment poker area opens, and for big tournaments from the moment the tournament is being announced. On the day of the big tournament event payment is possible at the cash desk defined for the tournament, in a defined period of time or until the full capacity is reached. Participant receives the voucher at cash desk of the Organizer to present it at the tournament location as a proof the payment for participation was made. Vouchers are not personalized, and are transferrable. Vouchers won through satellite are not transferrable. Vouchers are non refundable. Participation in the tournament, aside from direct payment at cash desk, can be assured by participating in the qualifying event (hereinafter referred to as the “Satellite”). Winners of these satellites through the Winning pool pay “Tournament Fee” and provide funds to enter the main event by winning the voucher for the main event. If there is money left over from the winning pool that doesn’t equal another voucher in value, the last player eliminated who did not win the voucher wins the money. The Organizer reserves the right to determine number of seats for the participants to qualify through Satellites and /or and for the participants to assign through marketing agreements. It is a sole responsibility of the player to enter Satellite tournament many times and to have more than one 18+ 1 RULES OF POKER TOURNAMENT PLAY – BELGRADE POKER INTERNATIONAL voucher for the event. Satellite vouchers are non transferrable, and can only be used by the player who wins the seat. If re-entry is allowed according to the tournament terms more than one voucher can be used. 18. The Organizer is not responsible for unused vouchers. Unused vouchers are non refundable. 19. Package players must play at first starting day of the tournaments. Package players receive their money back on any overlapping event but registration must be closed in the next event. 20. Each participant must register in person at the tournament registration desk until the start of the tournament or until the expiration of the late registration period, if such period is defined, presenting membership card and voucher. Upon the completion of late registration period ends, if the patron who has voucher did not show up, the initial stack will be placed on the table to the assigned seat and blinded until the patron arrives or until their stack is depleted. 21. Prior to the start of a tournament or a sequence of tournaments, the Casino will issue a concise and clear manual in printed or electronic form (such as: newsletter / brochure, Press or Web announcement etc.) stating all required special terms and conditions of such tournaments and their time-schedule and shall make it available to entrants. 22. The Tournament is played on one, or more tables, and facilitated by a Dealer. The number of tables participating in a tournament shall be determined by the Casino and shall be formulated based on the number of applications and the number of participants per table. One participant is allowed to play only at one seat. 23. The tournament will start as soon as 5 players are present. 24. Tournament is played with one standard 52-card deck and one cutting card. The player has no right to request deck change. 25. Position of the dealer button at the start of the tournament is predetermined and it is placed on the position of the last player on the table. 26. In the Heads-up game, the small blind is a button and plays first before the flop, while in the other rounds they bet last. At the start of the Heads-up game, the button should be adjusted so that the same player cannot be the big blind two times in a row. 27. Use of shuffle machine is optional, but the same for all active tables. 28. The Tournament is played with tournament chips. The tournament chips for participating in the Tournament shall be issued by the dealer at the designated tournament table only upon the player presented the voucher from cash desk. Tournament chips cannot be Play Within Your Limits 29. 30. 31. 32. 33. cashed out at the cash desk of the Organizer or used to play at any other table other then designated tournament table at designated tournament. The value of tournament chips given is defined by the Organizer and posted prior the game commences. The Casino shall secure that all participants have at their disposal an equal number of tournament chips. All tournament chips have to be visible at all times. All tournament chips must be returned at the end of tournament. Players may not keep or put chips anywhere but on the table. During the progress of the tournament, a player’s chip bank may not be supplemented or moved from the table by the player himself unless the Casino instructs him. Players may not exchange, transfer or borrow chips among themselves. If it is required to exchange higher denomination of chip for lower denomination of chips, the exchange among players will be done through a dealer. In tie hand pot is divided equally but if there is an extra chip, it will be given to the Player closest to the puck/button (Dealer position) in a clockwise rotation. At the conclusion of play for each day, active tournament patrons shall carry over any remaining tournament chips to subsequent days of play. Tournament Chips shall be counted and placed into a security bag which is to be sealed. The bag is to be transferred to the cash desk. By signing the player agreed with the transfer and the amount of chips in the bag. Upon arrival the player receives the security bag/tournament chips. It is the responsibility of the player to verify the bag belongs to her/him and it is not damaged before opening. The Organizer does not assume responsibility for the bag contents. If tournament rules allow, participant can participate in the same tournament more than once after being eliminated. Any Player who lost all of her/his tournament chips prior to the completion of the Round is eliminated and will be required to leave the Tournaments. When the Organizer permits re-buy or add on players can buy additional chips to their starting tournament chips as follows: RE-BUY within a set period of time (re-buy period) during the tournament on the condition that they have lost all chips to the maximum of times tournament rules allow, or at the end of re-buy period if the player has less then initial stack, but still has a right for re-buy or; ADD ON at the end of the set period of re-buy, irrespective of the value of chips they have left (from their entry stake) with requirement of having at least one chip, if none chip left patron is required to buy re-buy if qualifies for re-buy, then add on. Only tournament chips belonging to that game and the card protector can be placed on the table. The table and place assigned to each player for the start of the tournament will be decided with draws or via software application in a random manner Late registration is defined by the tournament. Late registration is a period available for the patrons to pay for the participation at the cash desk and join the tournament after the tournament started. After the late registration period ends it is not possible to receive the voucher to enter the tournament. If the need for waiting list exists, it will be created according to the time of reporting to the registration area and will be used to fulfill the seats. Time for the patron to show up is limited to 5 minutes from the calling time, after which the name will be moved to the last position on the list. The Organizer does not guarantee the entry to the participants from the waiting list. If the player is not present at the start of the round, all antes and blinds will be removed from the absent player’s stack, by the Dealer, and added to the pot of the applicable hand, and cards of the player concerned will be voided. Player has no right to look at the cards. Chips will continue to be removed from player’s stack in their absence until their stack is depleted. Player may not leave the table until the dealer completes the initial deal. In such case all cards of the player concerned will be voided, all bets will remain in the pot and the player will be placed out of that hand. Player must be at the table for the live hand. Player has to be seated at the time the first card has been dealt to her/his seat to have a live hand. If a player joins the tournament during late registration, the initial stack of chips will be given to him/her in full as he/she was present from the beginning, after giving a voucher. The player who lost all tournament chips, and does not qualify for additional chips according to the rules, will be eliminated from the tournament. When players are eliminated from the tournament in the course of the game, the number of positions is reduced and, consequently, the number of tournament tables. During the tournament, in order to maintain the balance between the participating tables, the Organizer has the right to move players from one table to another. The player next in line to be the Big Blind shall be transferred to the Big Blind position or the closest place in a clockwise direction. At the certain stages of the tournament if more than one table is in play, when remaining number of players are getting close to the money stage and before forming a final table, tournament will enter hand-for-hand play. Dealer at each table will deal one hand only and upon completion of that hand, stop the action again. This will continue until enough players have been eliminated to reach the winning money stage of the tournament or to form a final table. If During hand-for-hand play, when a Dealer has a called all-in at their table, they are instructed to freeze all action remaining at that table, including asking the players not to reveal their hands. This All-In Table will wait to finish its hand until all other tables remaining in the tournament have completed that specific hand. In the case of multiple tables having called all-ins, they will all be paused and played out one at a time until all tables have completed that specific hand. If two or more players are eliminated during the same hand at the same table, the player who began that hand with the highest chip count will receive the higher place finish. If it is impossible to determine the chip count eliminated players will share ranking position and divide potential payment. Players alone will be responsible for protecting their hand and participating correctly in the game according to the present rules. The right to dispute finished hand ends when new hand begins. New hand begins with a new hand shuffle. If a hand in question is the one prior the break, the right to dispute ends 1 minute after the pot is awarded. In the event of a breach or irregular player behavior, the player’s hand will be considered void and any chips placed by the player in the pot shall remain there. If cards of a player who folds are exposed then the hand of the player will be exposed by the dealer and shown to all players. “Rabbit Hunting “is not permitted. This means that showing cards that would have come up if the dealing hadn’t stopped is not permitted. When it is time to remove the chips with the lowest point value from the table, a coloring up takes place on daily tournaments; chip race on big poker events. Coloring up: All players color up their lesser-valued chips into greater denominations. In the event the remaining smaller chips do not add up to a whole larger chip, by coloring up value is being rounded up to the larger chip. Players will temporarily keep any leftover chips that cannot be fully colored up to larger chips. All leftover chips are counted, and equivalent chips in the larger denomination are presented to the table, and in the event the remaining smaller chips do not add up to a whole larger chip, an extra larger chip should be added. Each player with leftover chips in the smaller denomination will receive one card for each chip. The cards are dealt face up, starting from seat one, to the dealer's left. Each player will receive all of his cards before the next player. The larger chips are issued to the players with the highest single cards showing (poker hands do not count). No player is issued more than one chip. Ties (cards of the same rank) are broken by suit, using the order of the suits: Spades are highest, followed by Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs. A chip race cannot eliminate a player from the game. In the event a player's last smaller-denomination chip is removed from play as part of the chip race, the player automatically gets one chip of the lowest value still in play. If the participant leaves the tournament game earlier, the participant has no right for the refund. Belonging tournament chips will stay in the game and article 38 will be applied. In case of qualifying for the reward, the winnings will be placed at cash desk under the name of the participant. The winner of the tournament is the person who wins all tournament chips in the game and the others are awarded places based on the turn of their elimination, or according to article 43 or 44 if applicable. Tournament winnings stipulates in the announced Winning pool distribution list are to be issued only at the “Organizer’s” cashiering cage according to the order of elimination registered. Number of rewarding places is determined by the number of participants. Approximately 15% of the players will get into the money. Payments are determined according to a percentagebased scale available at the tournament area which can be different for each tournament. The Organizer reserves the right to round the payment amounts to the nearest 1.000,00 RSD value, if the surplus exists it is up to the discretion of the Organizer how to divide it. Upon the request of all players consenting verbally, the winning pool can be divided differently then set previously, which can result in a game finishing earlier. Play Within Your Limits 55. Every Player must be dealt a hand even if the chips in their possession are insufficient to place a minimum bet. 56. It is the responsibility of the Player to bring any problems that may occur during play to the immediate attention of the tournament management. All disputes must be resolved prior to any Player leaving the table. 57. Tournament Director is assigned by Casino Management. Tournament Director’s decisions are final in resolving situations at the tournament. Tournament Director also makes decision in all situations not defined by the rules. 58. The Tournament Director will determine breaks. 59. Decision of Tournament Director is final. 60. Players have access to information on tournament rules and instructions through written material available in the gaming area. Trained staff may provide explanation on the game and how it is played. 61. Players may not sit elsewhere during the tournament other than the seat assigned to them according to the tournament conduct procedure or/and the seat determined by the Casino, may not abuse verbally or exercise physical violence towards a Casino employee or a third party, act out of turn, expose their hole cards when an action is to be taken or conceal them when these Rules stipulate that they must expose them, act with the intention to remove one or more cards from the table, act with the intent to avoid paying a blind bet when transferred to a table in order to balance, not go immediately to the designated table to balance it, communicate or collude with each other or with other persons in any manner to affect the outcome of the game, violate the terms and conditions of the tournament, or behave generally against the rules in a manner which is to the detriment of the integrity of the conduct of the game. 62. The above breaches result, according to the judgment of the Tournament Director, in the verbal warning or their disqualification from one or more rounds or their dismissal from the table for a specific period of time (all their bets remain in the pot) or, finally, their disqualification from the game and their mandatory departure from the game. 63. Disqualified player looses the right to any refund of the participation money. Disqualified player looses the right for reward. Tournament chips of disqualified player will be removed from the play. 64. The Organizer shall take care to keep the order of the tournament. The participants in the games shall behave properly and not cooperate with other players in the game. A player may be prohibited to play and may be ordered to leave the facility of the “Organizer”, if by her/his behavior disturbs the order and peace of other players or acts contrary to the rules of the game. 18+ 4 RULES OF POKER TOURNAMENT PLAY – BELGRADE POKER INTERNATIONAL 65. Individuals with valid photo identification are eligible to participate at the tournament. If the photo identification has expired after the payment has been made and the player cannot enter the premises, the Organizer is not obliged to refund money paid or to compensate the possible damage. For the individual who have voluntarily excluded themselves from the GCB after payment for participation has been made, the Organizer is not obliged to refund any money or to compensate for possible damage. For the individuals who have been barred by the GCB after payment for participation has been made, the Organizer will refund money paid if requested the latest by the start of the tournament. 66. The Grand Casino employees are forbidden to participate in games, to financially assist participants, to issue chips without immediate payment in transparent manner or without taking voucher in transparent manner as a proof of payment at cash desk. 67. At no instance personnel of the Organizer or a player may claim ignorance of these rules. By participating in the game the player confirms understanding of the Rules and agreement with them. 68. These Rules are available in written form at the Casino premises. 69. These Rules shall be applied from the date of being placed at the Organizer’s locations at which the tournaments of “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM POKER” and “OMAHA POKER” are organized.
