 The Ministerial Chauffeur reports to the Ministerial Fleet Coordinator  Nil
Primary Purpose of Position
 The provision of an effective and efficient chauffeur services to Ministers of the Crown, Parliamentary dignitaries and VIP. Responsible for
maintaining allocated vehicles in a clean, presentable and roadworthy condition at all times and in accordance with Department of Treasury and
Finance policies.
Outcomes




Efficient and effective Chauffeur service in accordance with Department of Treasury and Finance policies.
Confidentiality maintained in the use of official information, equipment and facilities.
Provision of quality customer service and professional interaction with Ministers of the Crown, Parliamentary and VIP personnel.
Vehicles maintained in a clean, presentable and roadworthy condition at all times and in accordance with Department of Treasury and Finance
policies.
 Provision of support to the Ministerial Fleet Coordinator.

Professional driving experience and a good driving record.
Driver Accreditation.

customers.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

A detailed knowledge of State Traffic Law.
Previous experience in the passenger transport industry or
chauffeured services.
An understanding of and ability to work to the spirit and principles of
the Premier’s Safety Commitment and the legislative requirements
of the Occupational, Health, Safety and Welfare Act.
Essential Qualifications
 Must hold a current South Australian Drivers License.

Operating in a physically and mentally demanding environment requires

DTF Employment Conditions



Employment conditions will be governed by the relevant Weekly Paid Award and the incumbent will be expected to work in a manner consistent
with the Code of Ethics for South Australian Public Sector Employees.
The incumbent must be prepared to be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
The incumbent is responsible and accountable for keeping accurate and complete records of their business activities in accordance with the
State Records Act 1997.

Special Conditions





Be prepared to attend and obtain a satisfactory level of competency at a Defensive Driving Course.
The incumbent must be prepared to work substantial amounts of overtime outside normal working hours including weekends.
Applicants will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history record check being conducted in accordance with the DTF Pre-Employment
Screening (Criminal history/record check) Policy and Procedure. Disclosure of any charges is mandatory.
The incumbent must be prepared to submit to a thorough medical examination.
Regular driver training, medical examination and security checks will be required.
ADDENDUM
JOB TITLE:
Tasks
Ensure the chauffeuring needs of Minister’s of the Crown, Parliamentary and VIP personnel are met effectively by:
 being conscientious in the performance of official duties;
 maintaining confidentiality in the use of information, equipment and facilities;
 displaying professionalism when dealing with members of the public and work employees;
 maintaining the vehicle allocated so as it is clean and in a presentable condition at all times; and
 maintaining the vehicle allocated so that it is in a roadworthy condition at all times and in accordance with Department of Treasury and Finance
policies.
Ensure the Ministerial Fleet Coordinator is provided with support by:
 performing other duties associated with driving including elsewhere in the Section when necessary; and
 ensuring the Ministerial Fleet Coordinator and or office is notified of chauffeuring commitments if not fully occupied or allocated.
Ensure the provision of the highest standards of customer service to clients at all levels by:
 modelling service excellence; and
 establishing and monitoring structures, systems and standards to achieve high levels of client satisfaction.
