Hello Habitat Supporters!
The holiday season has arrived! This is the season to
provide the biggest gift of all, giving back! We are very
grateful to those that help us make an impact here in our
community.
We have had several groups come out and volunteer with
us this month. Beta Alpha Phi, The Reprive, Alpha Pi Omega
and the Army ROTC. We appreciate all that you do to keep
our organization running and promoting the dream of decent,
affordable housing for Alabama. Check out our Facebook
page for pictures of all our groups!
What's happening around here
Created in 2013, the SEC Compact is an agreement
between five Southeastern Conference schools to leave a
lasting impact through
Alternative Break
Programs during each
school's spring
break.
Every school,
however, has a
different spring break,
allowing the teams to
work for five straight
weeks at one site.
This maximizes their
impact while giving
our participants the
same life-changing
experience they'd
have on any
Alternative Break trip.
This year's site is

closed on November 27th
& 28th.

affiliate. These teams will greatly help our affiliate create
simple, decent, affordable housing.
Annual Awards Banquet 2015
Our 12th Annual Awards Banquet and Affiliate training day
will be held on Jan. 15th, 2015 at the First United Methodist
Church in Montgomery, AL. We are working on getting
speakers and planning the event. Please mark your
calenders! Registration forms, volunteer of the year, and a
affiliates leader of the year nominations have been emailed
to affiliates and will also be available on our website soon.
Our banquet will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will honor the hard
work of our affiliates and their volunteers. We look forward
to you joining us for this special event.

We are still in the process of hiring a new ReStore
manager.
If you think you would be
great at the job of operating a
retail center, procuring
donations, managing employees,
volunteers and groups then
definitely send us your resume!

Game Time!
Our last time ushering at an AU home game will be this
month's Texas A&M (11/8) game! Look to our FB page for a
picture of the awesome groups that served during the last few
games. We will once again partner with Event Operations,
LLC. In return for providing Event Operations with volunteers,
they will make a donation to our organization.

last game but were unable to,
don't worry. We still have one
more game that we will be
working. This will be a great
way to spread the word about
Habitat's work, interact with fans
and watch part of the game for
free.
Remember we can only have
50 people with us each game so hurry and contact Brandon
Dixon at [email protected] if you'd like to serve
with us. We don't yet know the time of the game, but we will
give those who are ushering with us more details as we get
them.

the store. The clearance section includes a variety of
items that are highly discounted. So come check it
out!
