ADMISSION INTO BLOCK RELEASE UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES JANUARY 2013 INTAKE
Applicants should have at least 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics and also have at least 2 ‘A’ Level passes in relevant
subjects. Special Entry may be granted to applicants with a relevant Diploma. Persons aged at least twenty five (25) years for Males and at least
twenty three (23) years for Females with relevant working experience may be considered under Mature Entry. The Block Release programmes are
meant for candidates who are in full time employment or self-employed and would like to improve themselves professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Food Science and
Technology (4 years)
‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry or Food Science and any of the following subjects: - Biology,
Mathematics or any approved equivalents.
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Environmental Health
(4 years)
A’ level passes in Mathematics, Chemistry and either Physics and Biology. A National Diploma
in Environmental Heath or related fields may be admitted.
SCHOOL OF ART AND DESIGN
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Creative Art and
Design (4 years)
Any 2 ‘A’ Level passes one of which should be Art and Design. A National Diploma in Art and
Design or a recognized teaching qualification with specialization in Art and Design.
Bachelor of Science in Fine Art (Honours) Degree (4 years)
2 ’A’ level passes. A pass in Art & Design at ‘A’ level is an added advantage. A National
Diploma in Art and Design or a recognized teaching qualification with specialization in Art and
Design.

Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Marketing (4 years)
2 ‘A’ Level passes. Preference will be given to passes in commercially related subjects like
Management of Business, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Geography, Statistics, and
Computers.
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Consumer Science (4
years)
2 ‘A’ Level passes. Preference will be given to passes in commercial subjects like Management
of Business, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Sociology and Geography.
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Entrepreneurship and
Business Management (4 years)
2 ‘A’ Level passes. Preference will be given to passes in commercial subjects like Management
of Business, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Sociology and Geography.
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Supply Chain
Management (4 years)
2 ‘A’ Level passes. Preference will be given to passes in commercial subjects like Management
of Business, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Geography, Statistics, and Computers.
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Accountancy (4
years)
2 ‘A’ Level passes which must include Accounting and a commercial subject from the
following: - Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Geography, Statistics, and Computers. For
Special Entry candidates should have a minimum of a National Diploma in Accountancy.
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Public Finance and
Accounting
2 ‘A’ Level passes which must include Accounting and commercial related subjects from the
following: Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Geography, Statistics, and Computers. For
Special Entry candidates should have a minimum of a National Diploma in Accountancy.
Application Forms are obtainable upon payment of a non-refundable Application Fee of Fifteen (15) United States Dollars
and Fifty (50) United States Dollars for (foreigners). Application Forms can also be downloaded from the following University
Website: - http://www.cut.ac.zw. Downloaded Application Forms should be accompanied by an Application Fee on
submission of the Application Form. The Closing Date for receipt and submission of completed Application Forms is 23
November 2012. Late Application Fee is Twenty (20) United States Dollars. The Closing Date for the receipt and submission
Late Applications Forms is 30 November 2012.
