MyClubMate – Allocating Players to Teams MyClubMate provides clubs with the ability to allow Players, Team Officials and whole Teams to Register Online. Each club is different, but MyClubMate supports a flexible environment that allows each club to operate the way they want to, not the way we want them to. So you can enable or disable any of these registration options as you see fit. This document explains how players can be put into their respective teams. It will cover registering complete Teams, but the other Online Registration options are not covered in this document. There are 4 ways in which players can be allocated to teams, all of which are shown below. 1: Online Registrations for whole Teams 2: Allocating a specific player to a team 3: Allocating a number of players to a specific Team 4: Drag and Drop any player into any team within a specific Age Group 1: Online Registrations for whole Teams Allowing Players to register online can save the club volunteers a large amount of time and effort, and can also drastically reduce the number of people turning up at club registration days. As well as Players registering Online, clubs can also allow whole Teams to register online if they choose to. Many 5 or 6 a side competitions do this as a matter of course, and some clubs allow this for their main registrations to encourage teams that want to all play together. The number of players that can be registered with the team can be different for different Age Groups – you set it. Invited players are automatically sent an email by the system with a link to accept or decline the invite. If the player accepts and completes the registration, the player is automatically put into the team by the system. My Club Mate – Allocating Players to Teams There is literally nothing for the registrar to do for these types of players!!! The Team Manager can even check and record the Players ID and upload the players’ photos. The Online Sports Management System MyClubMate – Allocating Players to Teams 2: Allocating a specific Player to a Team If you are dealing with a specific person, or already looking or updating a person’s profile, you can put that person into a team there and then (assuming they are a current player). You can see below and left that the player has been put into the team M351. Optionally, because the Age Group M35 is actually a Squad, you can also specify if the player normally plays in the Firsts or Reserves, or, if they often play in both teams. My Club Mate – Allocating Players to Teams The advantage of using this method of allocating a player to a team is that you can also update other information about the player at the same time. The Online Sports Management System MyClubMate – Allocating Players to Teams 3: Allocating a number of players to a specific Team The third method of putting players into teams is by team. List the teams you have in MyClubMate by clicking on the Team Admin button, and you will get a screen similar to the one below. From here you can quickly perform various functions such as Editing the team details, Adding or Removing Team Officials, Adding or Removing Players, viewing and uploading Players Photos and Signatures and more. However, in this document we are only concerned with adding Players to the team, so click on the icon of a player. You can see that the system tells you how many players you currently have in the team, and the maximum number of players that are allowed to be in the team. In the left column are the players currently in the team. You just highlight the player(s) – support shift and cntl – and then click Add or Remove as required. When you are ready, click Update. The Online Sports Management System My Club Mate – Allocating Players to Teams In the right column is a list of players that are allowed to play in this team, but haven’t yet been assigned to any team. MyClubMate – Allocating Players to Teams 4: Drag and Drop any player into any team within a specific Age Group The fourth method MyClubMate gives you is the ability to literally drag and drop players into whatever Team you choose within a particular Age Group. Considering MyClubMate automatically puts players into the correct Age Group when the players register online and marks the players as Paid when they pay online with their credit card, there isn’t much else to do apart from allocating the Team Officials (Team Managers and Coaches). To get to this function, click on Age Groups and then against the Age Group you are interested in, click on the player icon and you will get a screen a little like this…. On the left, you have a list of players in this Age Group, who are not yet in a team. On the right, all the teams, with all the players currently in those teams. You can drag and drop players within teams, drag players out of a team, and drag players into a team. And it even supports players playing in 2 teams. You specify the maximum number of players allowed in teams within this Age Group and the system will ensure you don’t add too many players to one team!! There are 4 different ways players can be put into teams. You can do it at the Age Group Level, the Team Level, or the individual level, or you can just allow Team Managers to manage it all themselves. YOU CHOOSE what suits you and your club best. All 4 functions do fundamentally the same thing with the same end result – putting a player into a team. The Online Sports Management System My Club Mate – Allocating Players to Teams Conclusion:
