Flash Action Strategy 2014 Columbia PT Students Take Action An afternoon of pizza and advocacy September 10, 2014 The Flash Action Strategy (FAS) is an annual student led advocacy campaign organized by the Student Assembly Board of Directors in conjunction with APTA to educate students on legislative issues impacting physical therapy and promote advocacy. This year, students used APTA's action centers from September 8-10 to send letters asking legislators to support the role of physical therapists in youth sports concussions by cosponsoring the Protecting Student Athletes from Concussions Act (H.R. 3532) and the Supporting Athletes, Families, and Educators to Protect the Lives of Athletic Youth Act (S. 2718/H.R. 5324).
