Play Up Policy
The Yorktown Youth Soccer Club believes that it is generally preferable that children play within their
own age group. This is especially important in the younger years when the Club will implement a
comprehensive training program that is both age and developmentally appropriate. Also, the Club
believes it is highly desirable for players to interact with their social peers. Therefore, the criteria for
“playing up” are restrictive. The policy is designed more to maximize participation and support team
viability rather than individual interests. The director of soccer has the final decision.
Registration Procedures
Dates and Notification
The club registrar sets dates and times of registration. Notification of dates and times are as follows:
 Club Website
 Email to all existing YYSC members
 Signs around Town
