Camp Braveheart
Heart transplant recipients and those affected by heart disease are invited to enjoy a week of fun at
Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, Ga. Junior camp session is for campers ages 7 to 13 and the Teen
camp session is for ages 14 to 18.
Camp Independence
Hosted by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, this camp is for children and teens ages 8 to 18 who have
been diagnosed with kidney disease or who have had a solid organ transplant. The camp is held at
Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, Ga.
Evening with the Gwinnett Braves
Transplant recipients and their families are invited to visit the Gwinnett Braves stadium for a picnic,
parade, photos with players, inflatable games and tickets to the game.
GTF’s Programs and Events
The Georgia Transplant Foundation provides a full range of support programs for transplant
recipients, candidates, living donors, and their families. To learn more about GTF services and

Kids at Heart Family Dinners
Dinner and educational presentations are offered to families of cardiac patients and heart transplant
recipients. Dinners are at 6 p.m. in the first floor conference center at Children’s at Egleston.
National Donate Life Month
Celebrate the generosity of individuals who have saved lives through donation and help raise
awareness of the need for organ, tissue, eye, and blood and marrow donation.
Transplant Support Groups
Speakers and educational materials are provided for parents and guardians of transplant recipients.
Meetings are in the sixth floor conference room at Children’s at Egleston.
Second Chance Family Camp
Transplant recipients and their families are invited to participate in this special weekend camp where
they will enjoy camp activities, breakout discussions and interactive seminars about transplant topics.
Teen Retreat
Transplant recipients ages 14 to 20 are invited to attend an overnight retreat at Camp Twin Lakes Wila-Way in Winder, GA. You don’t want to miss this weekend packed with fun camp activities, learning,
team building and a special evening program.
Winter Event
Transplant recipients and their families are invited to a Winter Event with activities for all ages.
Location varies from year to year.
