The purposes of these reports is to: Monitor the quality of health services provided at private health facilities; Enable the State to give information to the Commonwealth or another State under agreements prescribed under section 147 of the Act; and Monitor the general state of health of the public having regard to the types and numbers of health services provided at the facilities. The following reports are required to be provided by all private health facilities: Patient identification and diagnosis data The submission of this data is required for the purpose of the Queensland Hospital Admitted Patient Data Collection administered by Department of Health. This type of data is currently collected from all public hospitals and licensed private health facilities in Queensland. These reports must be given within 35 days after the end of each calendar month. Adverse outcome data. The collection of 6 monthly adverse outcome data from each licensed private health facility is intended to identify specific aspects of the health service provision that may require examination or closer monitoring. The adverse outcome data collection is not intended as a method of benchmarking the quality of health services from one facility to another. These reports must be given within 35 days after the end of each 6 monthly period. Any information provided will be treated as "Commercial in Confidence".
