DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION
SPORTS AND GAMES ACHIEVEMENTS ADMINISTRATION REPORT 2012-13
In 2012-2013 academic year, from the University College Department of Physical Education 32 teams
participated in Kerala university intercollegiate tournaments. In Kerala state our college stands first in teams’
number. Around 120 sports persons are included in 32 teams. In this academic year we are over all champions
in games section among arts and science colleges, engineering colleges, medical college.55students got Kerala
university selection for all India inter university, 17 students got medals in all India inter university. We have 25
national players, 15 international players. We are proud about our sports persons who clinches common wealth
medal for India. The CCL star Mr Sumesh known Gail Kuttapan played well for Amma star strikers under the
captaincy of Padamasree Mohanlal. The most valuable memorizing event was our college become champions in
Army trophy and received the trophy from Defense minister Sri AK Antony.Phy.Edn Department conducted
coaching camps for intercollegiate teams, conducted annul sports day on jan 8th 2013. On behalf of Department
of Physical education we express our thanks to the authorities for providing the Dc plan fund for coaching,
Kerala University for helping in sports admission, HODs of all department in university college, PTA secretary
and others teachers, students, administrative staffs, college union.
