MY STUDY GAME PLAN MY STUDY GAME PLAN MY GOALS Sometimes your studies can be tough. But did you know you can use the same techniques as elite athletes to help your performance in big exams and assignments this year? GOALS FOR THE YEAR By simply spending five minutes at the start of every week planning out your schedule and goals you will be on track for a championship winning year. YEARLY GOAL #1 STEP #1 SET YOUR GOALS YEARLY GOAL #2 Before opening your books or turning on your computer, the first thing you should do is write down your goals. YEARLY GOAL #3 Remember that all goals should also be SMART. This means all goals should be specific, measurable, adjustable, realistic and time-linked. On the next page is space for your to write you overall goal for the year, as well as you weekly goals to help you achieve it. GOALS FOR THIS WEEK “The trick is to make the short-term goals connected to the long-term ones. They are something to motivate you to tick something off your list.” Dr Richard Keegan STEP #2 CREATE YOUR SCHEDULE So now you have your goals and schedule all mapped out, it’s time to actually get down to doing the work. Remember that your schedule should always include: - time for study - 30 minutes of daily exercise - all of your meal times - enough time for sleep - something fun! We’ve got a handy weekly template for you to fill out on page four. Print this out at the start of every week and put it somewhere you can see it every day. Remember to make sure these weekly goals help you to achieve your overall goals!
