breakfast = 36 (28 Reps; 8 Senators)
 Lt. Governor and Superintendent of Pubic
Instruction attended
 ICASE members who attended = 120
 If you have debriefing sheets that you still
have not turned in, be sure Tammy Hurm gets
those today
Follow Up After the Breakfast
 Please write an email or send a card to your
legislator
 Thank them for attending if you met with them OR
 Tell them you missed them at the breakfast and give
them the talking points.
 Be sure to maintain monthly contact with any concerns
or issues
 The importance of a relationship with your legislator
cannot be stressed enough. You want them to
recognize you!

number.
 Amendments are found in committee packets.
 Committees and calendars are listed here as well.

 A view only link will be sent to Roundtable Reps for
Governmental Affairs each week and those can be forwarded
to your roundtable.

Most will die and then we will create a third tab for bills that
are continuing out of committee.

 How bills fail:
 The bill lacks intrinsic merit to the point of failing to
gain sufficient support
 The bill attracts powerful opposition or generates
strong disagreement
 The bill gets stalled somewhere in the legislative
machinery and fails to regain momentum in time to
be enacted
