The GPS FC Bayern National Team Program comprises the top players from
throughout the GPS franchises. The GPS FC Bayern National teams compete in
various events throughout North America and select International events such as the
Milk Cup outside of the normal Youth Soccer competitive calendar.

The GPS FC Bayern National Team Program aims to provide a professional soccer
player experience to the Elite players within the GPS family. Players successfully
admitted to the program will receive the highest standard of coaching, experience
additional training centres and travel as a team to prestigious tournaments and
events.
How does it work?
The GPS FC Bayern National Team Program will identify players, boys and girls,
from 2000-2004, who will take part to regional Elite Training Centers. These are dual
age band sessions that offer players further development opportunities. The ETCs
will be held at least one time a month and represent the first step of the selection
process to the National Team.
The GPS FC Bayern National Team will comprise the best players from all GPS
franchises and affiliate clubs across the country.
Who is it for?
The GPS FC Bayern National Team program is for players within the GPS
organization who have excelled in their own regional environment. Players should
exhibit exemplary work ethic, commitment and have an excellent technical and
tactical base.
What is a Regional Elite Training Center?
Every regional franchise identifies players, born from 1999 to 2004, who will take
part to a Regional Elite Training Centers. These are dual age band sessions that
offer players further development opportunities and are aimed at our most elite
players, who will form the basis of the GPS FC Bayern National Team talent pool.
Selection Process
At the start of the season, players will be nominated to attend the Elite Training
Centers. Regional coaches and DOC’s will send players meeting the above criteria
and GPS ETCs Head Coaches will assess all the players during the
monthly/bimonthly sessions. Those players who are successful will be invited to to
the GPS FC Bayern National Pool Event with the view of being selected for the GPS
FC Bayern National Team Summer Competition.
Spring Developemtn Squad ID Program 2017
The GPS Development Squad 2017 program is now live. Players in the 2007 &
2008 age groups will need to submit "Player Profiles" to Adam Whaley the FC
Bayern West Director Of Coaching for consideration to the Spring 2017 GPS
Development Squad ID Tryout. Once profiles have been accepted, players will be
informed of how to register for tryouts.
Once selected for the four week program after tryouts, players will be put through
their paces using the FC Bayern Technical Curriculum implemented by FC Bayern
Techincal Director and Regional FC Bayern Coaching staff.
Following the completion of the program players will be heavily consdiered for their
participation in the 2018 FC Bayern ID Program as they move through the player
pathway.

In order to be considered for the '' Club Neutral'' FC Bayern ID Program tryout
players must currently play at a Premier Level ideally with Norcal OR CYSA .
Players currently playing at a GOLD level of soccer will be considered on an
individual basis.
