Football NSW Competition Review

Women’s Football Review
OVERVIEW
Football NSW participated in the FFA Women’s National Competition Review working group in
September 2012. Recommendations and feedback by the Member Federations were collated and
the FFA outcomes paper was presented to Member Federations in November 2012.
The paper documents nine (9) recommendations under five (5) categorised topics. Similarly to the
2012 Competitions Review considering Men’s elite football pathways and competitions, FNSW will
enlist a panel of Football Community representatives to debate the outcomes of the FFA National
Women’s Competition Review in the NSW context.
The purpose of the FNSW Women’s Football Review is to consider the existing structure,
composition and viability of the Women’s Premier and State League Competitions, the various Cups
and knockout competitions held by Football NSW and the Girls State titles and their link to National
Competitions and ascertain any ways to improve the product and opportunity provided to female
participants in the State.
