PERSONAL PROFILE
A 2013 BSc Graduate in Forensic and Security Technologies, Ashkan is a Front End web developer with
agile scrum and Kanban experience (JIRA and TFS) based in Canary Wharf, London. Ashkan has Back
End Development experience in PHP and java as well but prefers Front End Development as he is creative,
visual and has a good eye for design with near OCD like focus on details. He is a self-taught and a selfstarter individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and is a big fan of Bootstrap and AngularJS but is also comfortable
building web applications using pure JavaScript. Ashkan has always been proactive at his projects and
always eager to work within cross-functional teams.
His last assignment is to develop a brand new website for a digital agency based in London. The website is a
single page application and utilises AngularJS, JavaScript, JSON and Ajax and it follows strict SEO standards
and best practices. The project is aimed to finish by the end of February 2017.
Ashkan is self-motivated, focused and purposeful, has a positive outlook on life and a thirst for learning new
skills. He is a big fan of clean, well-structured and re-usable code and keen on implementing key principles
from Google’s material design. He is also inspired by the Google polymer project.
Ashkan is looking for an interesting permanent position within the industry and ready to be part of a
working environment where he can be a team player, grow, learn and be involved in a community.

Your Favourite Story (Digital Agency) – Angular developer (contract) January 2017 – February 2017
Ashkan took over the project from a freelancer and at early stages. He owned the product and worked very
closely with the UX designer and project manager in order to push the project forward. The website is set to
go live by the end of February.

TUI - Front End developer (Contract)
August 2016 - October 2016
Ashkan advised the management on best ways to enhance the look/feel of their websites as well as working
alongside other front-end and backend development teams in an agile environment.
His project was about building a multi-centre holidaymaker web application, which TUI’s customers are now
using in order to pick different destinations, search for hotels and receive a personalised service.
The Hybris components that are created for this project were developed in a way that they could support
multiple brands and styles without new release.
The project also made heavy use of JQuery Ajax in order to load contents for each step. Ashkan worked in an
agile environment and was involved in continuous integration throughout the project. His interest in
developing visually appealing and attractive websites did not go unnoticed by his UX team and his ideas
made it through to the project and received positive feedbacks.

Lebara Mobile - Front End Developer
March 2016 – August 2016
Ashkan was employed by Lebara to work within an agile development team (scrum) and assist with
planning and execution of the next generation of Lebara websites. He was the bridge between the idea and
execution by converting sketch designs into modular and reusable UI components. Working closely with the
project manager, design and backend developers in the UK and Ukraine offices he developed a strong
ownership skill and cultural awareness.
Ashkan is passionate about creating effective and reusable user interface components and he has helped his
team to set up the front end of the project from ground up as well as setting up grunt automation tasks for his
team. He learned to use Hybris by communicating and learning from the lead architect and passing his
knowledge to other front end developers via well structure confluence documents. He was also responsible
for code quality reviews and mentoring other junior developers.
On different occasions Ashkan liaised with the business Analyst and his UX team to work through problems
and create more suitable UI solutions. He also worked with 16 other developers using continuous integration
practices as the project required them to work on shared GIT repositories.
The UI and JSP components that Ashkan has developed are used at Lebara across different projects and
countries from online SIM top-up journeys to Lebara money transfer web apps.

Chambers and Partners - Front End Developer (AngularJS and Bootstrap) March 2015 - to March 2016
Working within an agile development environment (scrum), he developed the UI of Chambers Connect as a
social network with blogging and Q&A for lawyers & businesses across the globe.
The project used java environment for the back-end and a combination of bootstrap 3, jQuery and AngularJS
for the front end.
Because of this project he has had first-hand exposure to Java and working with SDK editing portlets, hooks
and Liferay themes.
On many occasions it was required to code a webpage from scratch and produce a mobile friendly and fully
responsive layout.
