West Sussex County Council Energy Strategy Action Plan 2016 – 2020 1. The Action Plan This Energy Action Plan sets out the first programme of actions for delivering the West Sussex Energy Strategy. It spans a four-year period starting in 2016 and will be monitored regularly and reviewed each year to take into account progress, as well as legislative and operational change. It is intended that this plan will be followed by subsequent four yearly action plans. Together these plans will help deliver the vision and objectives of the Energy Strategy. The content of future plans will be informed by the progress and development of the current plan and the issues that emerge during the plan period, including research into suitable and relevant areas of demand, technologies available and cost implications and the contribution to carbon targets as outlined in the Sustainability Strategy. 2. Document Framework The actions that follow are listed against the four priorities and objectives of the strategy namely: 1. 2. 3. 4.
