Experience Essential A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management capacity at a senior level Experience of working within the voluntary sector and/or statutory sectors A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in children and young people services Strategic planning and service development Designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems Financial management, fund raising and budget control Staff management Liaison/networking with agencies in the statutory and voluntary sectors Desirable Application of quality assurance models Change management Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Essential Sound understanding of national child care policy, the GIRFEC agenda, Health and Social Care Integration and carer policy Knowledge and understanding of the statutory and voluntary sectors Ability to lead and motivate staff Ability to use initiative and organise own work Able to prioritise and address key issues from a management perspective Excellent listening, verbal and written skills Good IT skills Understanding of, and commitment to, the promotion of equal opportunities, policies and practice.
